Not necessarily, but can understand why LJ tried it. The goal Flint gave away had nothing to do with the formation as I understand it.

Several on here seem to forget we went to 3-5-2 at home to Villa and away at Rotherham after finding ourselves behind, and both time came back to win. So, for me, not a surprise to try that formation. Joey going off after 30 mins would have seriously weakened that formation, as we really rely on JB getting forward to deliver crosses.
