  1. If Razor's calling you a c*** then you must be doing something right.
  2. Its random sampling of a population that's important. The population in this case being some defined measure "Bistol City supporters". This could be a bit arbitrary. Let's say I define the population as anybody (a) over the age of 18 (because it might become a legal minefield to include minors), (b) with a Bristol City Season Card or Membership, (c) who has attended a minimum of 40% of home games this season up to and including the Coventry game. For argument we'll say this gives a population size of 10,000. If I want to be 95% certain of the results of any questions I ask to within a margin of error of 5% (i.e. +/- 5%), then I'll need a random sample size of 370. If your sample is self selecting or otherwise not random then all bets are off.
  3. bumping in this. stream just came live. st david's day apparently. edit: jai semenyo playing for then, wells captaining us
  4. Well, at least they've got a cert coming up soon ...
  5. 1-0 swansea. love it. edit: now 2-0 swans. lots of booing
  6. I've definately read something he's written come to think of it, but it would have been 40 odd years ago (maybe the first Wilt book?). I'm sure I watched Griff Rhys Jones and Mel Smith in the film.
  7. At least something good has come out of this then.
  8. I imagine the only serious bidder is that chancer Ashley, and the offer is so low that unsecured creditors won't get anything like 25p on the £1, so maybe Quantuma are duty bound to try and eak out a bit more. I don't really see how they will unless there is a bidding war (sounds more like a non-bidding war) - that's about as likely us having a local derby with the gas next season ...
  9. It's pretty sad isn't it. I'm old enough to remember when facup saturday meant getting up at 7am and getting the mirror or the sun (or both) for their facup specials and watching blanket cup themed coverage all morning leading up to the finale of the season.
  10. Don't most countries have one domestic cup competition, usually as well supported in the early stages as the EFL Cup?
  11. As staying in the Premier League is worth upwards of £100 million to a team, you can equally argue that the FA Cup is worth nothing to the winning team (unless they happen to be outside the PL). Pretty sure cup winners got diddly squat in my day, and no one gave a flying you know what. It's about the glory.
  12. I worked with Radio 5 live Simon Mann's brother for a couple of years in the nineties. He (brother, not Simon) was a Derby "fan" - I've no idea why, he was Bristolian as far as I knew. Would wear a Derby top on work skittles nights etc. Funny thing was that I'd seen Derby play and been to the baseball ground more times than him, and that was only through watching City play. Try telling these people they aren't actually fans and they get all offended.
  13. FIFA showing their true colours. I suppose it was asking a bit much expecting that they'd do the right thing first time around. Shame on UEFA for backing this position. Time to bin them both off.
  14. Possibly the only, but certainly one of the few, english pro-league teams that I haven't seen play us live.
  15. It's lip service, and means nothing legally - Abramovich remains the ultimate beneficial owner of Chelsea. What's surprising is that this was stated as breaking news on sky sports last night. I think most organisations are realising this today.
  16. How many ex-players have we got out there? 60-70? More? Sam Vokes bit of a stretch to call him an ex-player as he was only on loan.
  17. You're better off staying ignorant. Put it this way. There were no attacking highlights involving City.
  18. If you did, we really shouldn't be trying to spoil it for another couple of weeks.
  19. I'd like to think we couldn't have a second half as bad as our first ...
  20. EXTENDED BY POPULAR DEMAND! DON'T MISS OUT!!!!
  21. We walked in as 10/11 year olds when the Dolman/Open End gates were opened. If anyone wants an indication of the high water mark for racism at Ashton Gate, that was possibly *the* game.
  22. I'm sure we did, or would have if w e had a chance. At least I'd like to think so ...
