I'm just happy to see us competing in games and deserving something out of them again. ut winning is a bonus!

Yeah, I was happy to give Nige a clean slate to start the season, and I think we've steadily got more things right with each passing league game (Boro aside). I think that was our best win against Cardiff away for some time - certainly ther last two times we deserved nothing. Today (as with the Swans game) a point was the very least we deserved. Well done evreybody. So nice to feel the pride back :)

40 years ago crowds were not ‘that great’ all around the country.

We still managed to average more than them last time we were in the 4th division than they did at the same time in the division above us.

Different world back then cheif. There were only 3 clubs in the country that averaged over 30,000 in 82. Thatcher, strikes, violence. All had a big effect.

Points appreciated. At least I can say I was there :)

    Indeed.

They’re no better, or more loyal, than anyone else despite what they constantly claim. I’d even argue that they’re more fickle than most considering their crowds dropped below 6k in L1 after a few bad results.

I’d like to see them sell 9000 Season Tickets after relegation like we did in 2013.

Remember that they're in the fourth division. I know it was about 40 years ago, but our crowds were never that great down there.

He`s one that doesn`t really like football but has an amazing talent for it IMO. In JET`s eyes, football gives him the time and money to do the things he really does enjoy - who among us wouldn`t do the same if we could?

I wonder if he's still big in the Herbalife MLM scene?

What a fun player he was to watch. Would rather watch him over someone relatively consistent but functional and boring like O’Dowda any day.

I'd almost forgotton what it was like to see JET on song.

Very disjointed half....few better possession signs in last 10 mins, but that was ironically when Boro scored. Haven't been able to get enough players on the ball.  Palmer been very sloppy, allowing Spence to get toe in too often.  Vyner poor too.  Needs to give Jones a good whack.  Boro sitting deep, but we are playing straight balls, which leave the receiver with no real option, need to change our passing lines.

Symptomatic of last seasons performances. I feel a little bit sorry for Alex Scott.

Just the way he engendered a culture of "running towards adversity" here then? As opposed to a culture of laughing all the way to the bank.

Note the reference to my director of performance. So he's already decided it's his club.

I think "running toward success" would be the preferred direction of travel. All your base belong me.

I found it easy going and enjoyable to watch, without getting too deep. The missus isn't a football fan but she enjoyed it too...?

I still think you're going to have to go some to beat The Manageress. Ahem.

I really want to try the colourblind fixing glasses has anybody used them?

There is no cure for inherited colour blindness. If there were every optician that I've ever seen would be trying to upsell me. You can however, get glasses to help with some types of acquired colour-blindness (at least according to the spec-savers aussie website.)

  10. Iptv is just a technology - there will be legitimate and illegitimate services using it. But if 'prices look great' that's probably because you'll be paying criminals for stolen content. Not sure I'd want to be giving my credit card information to criminal organisations.

I expect a few people will post that they've been watching PL/Bundesliga/La liga, etc, games via iptv for a fiver a month for years and never had any issues ...

This does not sound good for STFC. Given they've been in admin before, at least twice AFAIK, can they go into it again?

It will be interesting to see what (non?) action the football authorities are considering taking.

Their club is being ruined by a shit owner who doesn't seem to give a flying **** about the club or the fans.

It makes me doubly grateful that we have a decent owner in charge of us at BS3.

STFC: we make Bristol Rovers fans feel good about their team.

Bristol city boys are treated differently. No fees , mini buses, kit on time/ more kit.

I just think they should be treated equally as the girls have earned the right to be there aswell.

Seems strange to me when the owner is worth billions but still charges the academy's parents so that the womens team is funded.

They absolutely should be. It seems like a prima facie case of sex discrimination.

Palace interested apparently. Want him for £3m.

    We want £5m.

    Don't shoot the messenger ?

And, in anticipation of the "hahaha bite their hands off for £3m" posts, I don't necessarily disagree. However, word of caution: we all said the same regarding one Yannick Bolasie.

Am I the only person still not rating Yannick Bolasie then? I thought Palace got lucky that Everton paniced enough to splurge on him. I suppose if you get on the PL merry-go-round all the numbers start to look silly.

Ebony Salmon stands out a mile doesn't she? I doubt she will be hanging around no matter the outcome.

Yep and you're right she'll be on to bigger and better things next season.

Her days of getting no service at all, and chasing hopeless balls will be over in about 45 minutes.

This doesnt look easy for our Swamp Monster "rivals" across the City

I wonder if the BCST&T will be running a zoom watch-along for the blackpool game.

  16. Great interview @Shtanley. I got acquainted with the Idles a bit whilst listening to Radio 6 recently. However due to my advancing years, I couldn't tell you anything about their music except I was impressed enough to look them up on spotify.

That drummer sounded a bit like Joe Bryan to me.

And the football chat was a bit more on topic than usual without Dave there being an antagonist.

    10th April. Cobblers v Gas

I don't feel good about it, but I'll probably be setting aside some more of my city refunds to pay for a couple of Gas streams from now until the end of the season (through the opposition sign ins of course), provided we aren't playing - unless it's a game that could get them relegated).

Yesterday one of the Sunderland commentary duo said "the main stand looks like a horse racing stand". And in the second half pointed out there was "a woman with a dog who'd sneaked in".
