  1. Thanks mate. I've now laughed so hard that my super wide-screen monitor is drenched in Lemon Ginger and Manuka Honey tea.
  2. We'll all be out cold from the shock...
  3. Stoke 0-1 Bristol City | Championship Highlights | Video | Watch TV Show | Sky Sports Brilliant footwork from Semenyo for the assist and a cracking cross shot from Dasilva. Sadly, no wrestling. Try this clip, instead... Bentley and Brown's scuffle goes over the hoardings! | Video | Watch TV Show | Sky Sports
  4. A game that for the most part resembled 22 players yearning for the sun-tan lotion and the delights of a Strawberry Mivvi ice lolly, won by a miss-hit cross. Smash and grab? Not really. Neither defence was tested and City found gallons of energy late on. A clean sheet too. Now, where's that rocking horse shit?
  5. As good a crosser as Terry Coopernol?
  6. Jay DaCRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.... Goal!!
  7. The game is there to be won if we're braver in midfield. We've made some good turnovers and need to get the ball to Weimann, to drive forward. Semenyo had our best chances, blazing over when one on one, and failing to control from the rebound after Martin shot.
  8. And losing Wood, after Newcastle triggered his release clause was the death knell for Premiership survival. I'm surprised, because retaining Dyche would give them a great chance to bounce straight back up. He's done it once already. And got them into Europe. Burnley should build a statue to commemorate his achievements.
  9. @Jerseybean you've excelled yourself once again. A brilliant review. Lets hope that two of City's favourites 'Faith' and 'Hope' shine today and good old 'Charity' stays at home.
  10. I was there! https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02p5ltl
  11. Thank you all for your excellent feedback. For anyone that hasn't listened to Nigel's post-match interview with Radio Bristol's Ed Hadwin, the following (transcribed by me) exchange that featured on the Podcast is very candid, and more honest than you'd expect. Nigel's answers are in bold. And that’s one of the problems for us, we can be good against the good sides, and we can be very poor against the poor sides. So, there you go, that tells you its nothing to do with technicalities, its nothing to do with ability in terms of players, its to do with personalities and probably a bit of collective character at times. And that’s something that realistically it’s difficult to change, isn’t it? No, no its not, because I’ll change the players. If they don’t want to change, I’ll change them. Either that, or I’ll get changed, and if that happens then they’ve still got the same problem. The club still has the same problem if they change me and that is they’re going to have to do something about, um the, the um, yeah, the almost at times the passiveness of everybody. It’s a strange club in that regard, so we’ve got a lot of work to do as a club. And with what you said in the week about investment in the Summer, and not expecting huge wholesale changes does that present a bit of a problem trying to get quite that kind of overhaul? No, because alright, you know my line on this is players who need to be better, that doesn’t necessarily mean technical, it might mean in other areas, so no it’s not about that, I’m not somebody who moans about stuff like that. So, um, I’m sure they’ll be playing in Division 1 next year, and you know 90 something per cent that we’ll be in the Championship, but we’ve got to make some changes. So is that in terms of recruitment you’re looking as much for personality as you are for technical ability? Well, that’s never changed for me, I don’t know whether it’s been like that for the club. Looking at some of the players that we’ve got populating the squad, but it’s always been on my remit.
  12. Dammit. I should have known that when I drew Stops To Take A Shit in the Grand National sweepstake its was doomed to plop on Becher's Brook.
  13. Aren't they used to playing Forest (Green)?
  14. But would Warburton get any bread?
  15. Join us LIVE at 10am on Sunday March 10th. https://www.podbean.com/lsw/voj3TKjf6G?lsid=yge6Jig1uYv Host David is joined by Ian, Neil and Mark, to review City's 1-1 draw with Peterborough and look forward to the remaining 5 Championship fixtures. Post your questions here, or during the Podcast and we'll try to read out as many as possible on air. Many thanks Mark Tovey
  16. Retiring? That'll shorten his odds on becoming the next City manager I'm off to buy a neck brace and burn all my books about the beautiful game.
  17. It'll be, "please Sir, can I have some more?" Like the musical, 'Oliver', with a great twist at the end.
