  1. From BBC: The extent of losses beyond 2018 is not known because accounts are still to be published following an agreement between Derby and HMRC that they could be held back until the EFL case was concluded. But it is accepted by all parties they contain further significant losses. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58641014
  2. Think what MM said was they had sent their proposed accounts / FFP submissions, but EFL were still having ongoing discussion with them about the content.
  3. Nope, totally separate things. Administration points already deducted, EFL charges still being finalised.
  4. So to summarise for a non-accountant. Please correct anything I get wrong. Derby owned stadium - value of asset in books Derby sold stadium to another “company x” for £81.1m, realising profit of £x that stopped FFP issues (in their eyes). Derby pay rent for use of stadium. Company x borrowed money from MSD to purchase the stadium, hence charge on it. Company x might not have paid fully for the stadium yet? If Company x has paid for it, club might still be in FFP trouble because of dodgy amortisation method and breaking FFP limits, but shouldn’t be in administration, e.g. why do they still have a £30m HMRC bill outstanding. Is it this bit that makes you think Company x hasn’t paid for it yet? Ta.
  5. Mel Morris - from Candy Crush to Derby Crush.
  6. And I wouldn’t be checking my phone whilst supposedly celebrating my dad’s 80th.
  7. The other EFL charges haven’t been resolved yet. The 12 points isn’t the end of it, is it? Mel’s already admitted they breached FFP in 2018.
  8. I’m not sure the Administrator could afford to terminate his contract, so they are stuck with each other aren’t they?
  9. If they need 50 points to avoid relegation, they need 52 from 38 games. The small squad is quite old in some positions, inexperienced in others, and injuries (if they come) will impact them hugely….let alone fatigue. Think Baldock is only contracted until January, so doubt an administrator will want to re-sign. So, I guess they could get those points, although unlikely. Add another 9 points to the 12 and they need 61 / 38. Not gonna happen.
  10. Yep, I read £30m to HMRC plus £20m to Michael Dell, so best part of £50m before any new owner starts!
  11. Correct. Was Jack Walker’s team - Tower Utd or something like that on Jersey. When I was at Stockwood Green we drew them away but had to win the prior round match first. Pretty sure we lost and thought we’d missed out on an away trip. Later found out it was BS and hadn’t drawn them at all. Recall that @Shuffle?
  12. Will let you know when our accounts come out.
  13. He’s no longer Grecian 2000 judging by Saturday!
  14. I love how he is so “vague” about it….almost like there’s more to it, but he’s trying his usual hard-done-by look.
  15. If a promoted Championship club comes straight back down they get 2 years PPs. The 3rd years gets divvied back amongst the PL clubs, not the championship…..it’s crap, but that’s what happens.
  16. Me too. The current rules don’t stop clubs becoming a mess / going bust, nor do they promote fair(ish) competition either.
  17. 11:40 - COVID and PPs blamed 15:40 - amortisation / FRS102 21:05 - resubmit accounts - been prepared - admission of breach 22:45 - buying players (Darren Bent type etc) / managers (Clement, Rowett, Cocu) Cocu hamstrung by above. His payoff was £8m (MM less than that but a big sum). Deflects to Nottingham Forest. 29:00 - COVID killing P&S
