  1. If I was the EFL I’d say, look at Bristol City, they had to play: Ryley Towler, Sam Bell, Alex Scott, Louis Britton, Tommy Conway, Sam Pearson, Opi Edwards, Owura Edwards, Saikou Janneh, James Morton, whilst Harvey Wiles-Richards and Zac Smith made the bench….several of those all featured in many squads. They had to deal with Covid too….maybe you should have been more careful. Get on with it, stop bleating.
  2. Out of interest are there any exemptions, asking for a friend ???
  3. Maybe the likes of Reading, the ones spending too much with little regard for the rules. The best thing Derby can do is get their accounts sorted, show some willing. Leaving it to 18th August is just giving the EFL opportunity to (rightly) play hardball. I sense administration and a points deduction….plus a tightrope on further points deducted if the accounts are not in order. Rooney can bleat all he likes.
  4. The first City player I adored. Get well soon “Big Mick”!
  5. Let’s make this thread bang!
  6. Release clauses can be entered into any contract.
  7. Pretty much every Robins Uncut we view has at least one “well done Han” from Nige. We are gonna be a more energetic side, HNM plays plenty of minutes as a result.
  8. I’ve long been a believer that for some players, especially those close to the first team (not in all cases) that training with the first team, learning the first team system, the little tricks and stuffs that top players do, is better preparation than going down to Lg2, playing a different style of football, under potentially inferior coaching, with inferior players, against opponents you won’t come up against in the Championship. Alex Scott at 17 (18 in Aug) isn’t gonna learn the sophisticated patterns of play in Lg2 at say FGR, where the ball will be pumped over his head every 5 seconds. Someone like Louis Britton might relish it. I also think there are some benefits of our own u23s developing together (and playing like the first team). In the past some of our best u23s might be out on loan, so we aren’t necessarily fielding our best u23s (reasons for / against), but also perhaps moving some players up from u18s to u23s too quickly, giving them a false sense of their development. Keeping them at Failand means they are ready to come straight in to the first team if Nige needs them, or as he has started to elude to, be part of the first team anyway. You can keep their minutes ticking over in the u23s.
  9. I can only guess that the distinction in rules for “Professional Standing” and “established player” is down to the embargo reason. Looks like you can be under Registration Embargo for reasons other than P&S. Derby themselves have 5 counts against them, one of which is P&S. Perhaps if Derby’s only issue was P&S, the established player rule might be applicable….but as we see, Derby have 4 other issues. That’s the only thing I can come up with. Derby County Regulation 16.2 - Failure to provide audited annual accounts Regulation 16.3 - Annual Accounts not filed with Companies House Regulation 17 - Default in payments to HMRC Regulation 51.2.3 - Default in paying transfer fee instalments Profit and Sustainability Rules - non-submission of audited accounts
  10. Thought this would be the case. With everyone together at the training ground, a trimmer senior squad is gonna need the young’uns for training anyway…let alone those who’ve proved themselves good enough to be around the team. Nige likes his 11v11s too. Pretty happy with this.
  11. Most of the 10 clubs under sanction were for late reporting. Those have been resolved in the main.
  12. Derby can’t be under P&S….they’ve yet to re-state their accounts!!!
  13. Mr Pop….Wednesdays overall costs / budget less than our own! ??
  14. Nothing will happen now with respect to 20-21 season. If they fail FFP when accounts are re-stated in August then we can expect to see points deduction for this season. Those points deductions might be covering more than one period I guess. Hope they are under embargo until then.
  15. I’m sure he did it on purpose. He used to hide messages in the first letter of each paragraph to read things along the lines of: D A R R E L L C L A R K E I S A D O G N O N C E
  16. In fairness I think the EFL have pushed hard here….but legally they can only do so much until they see restated accounts. That’s when the fun and games will start. Fat Lady hasn’t even been born yet!
  17. We need to see their adjusted accounts to see whether they did break FFP or not. They will at some point, either that or will have a decimated squad that will go down. Morris has screwed them up.
  18. You do know it’s forbidden on OTIB to admit to supporting another team ???
  19. Just ask Jon Lansdown….he’s got some lovely tins of paint going spare.
  20. Venkys just put £29m in (guess this is covering off losses / turning into shares?)
  21. You may remember a good year or so ago I sent you a LinkedIn profile of said auditor ???
  22. Wasn’t the auditor a life-long Derby fan (no issue with that per se) but with links to Morris?
  23. Wayne Rooney’s Wycombe Wanderers???
