  1. @Kid in the Riotyouve gone very early this window. Haven’t even had the released list yet. ???
  2. You make a good point about the unknown market. I do expect the lack of fees paid last summer and January to continue outside of the PP clubs. Could fund 5 free transfers on £20k p.w. That will give us an advantage over some clubs we’d be competing with for the players we need to improve us.
  3. I think both clubs are in the right ball-park, he’s in that £3-5m range imho. Few appearance based add-ons and a sell-on and I think you have to take it. I think there are players out there that will suit Nige’s team system better.
  4. They are worried about Conway in behind. Wonder who's quicker, him or Bell?
  5. 1st half summary: I bloody enjoyed that. Brentford are a good side, pass it for fun, but they are getting frustrated. Really good shape and disciplined shape. Goof distances between the 4, the 2 and the 3, giving Brentford very few pockets to play into. Baker - 3/4 crunches so far....a bit of physicality, makes a difference! No, I'm not saying sign him!!! Simpson - tidy Dasilva - looking ok....needs to improve crossing (where have said that before) Scott - very impressive 45 on full debut Bakinson - sloppy / too eager with through balls, but defensively his positioning has been really good, picked up loads of passes through the lines. Need to make subs at right time, because we will tire chasing Brentford. Proactive subs please Nige!!
  6. I did wonder with Nagy going home (funeral) that it might be allowing him to prep for Euros. Possibly same for Kalas?
  7. My team for today: Bentley Simpson / Kalas / Baker or Mariappa / Dasilva Vyner Massengo / Bakinson / Scott Conway / Wells A bit experimental. Think DS will be here, so only other decision is who to partner Kalas. If Moore was fit I’d play him.
  8. FA WSL Rules re ineligible player. What was the result of the game in question?
  9. Who cares whether it’s an admin error? Rules are rules. When I was at Odd Down we had a lad on loan from Bath City. He played 3 games, Bath City failed to inform us of something important in the registration, and we got deducted 9 points. Plus he was crap in the games he did play. I’m guessing Birmingham have better goal difference, because ours is shocking!
  10. The Man Utd frontline just needed to time their runs....the amount of offsides!!! I think they would’ve won 3 or 4-0 if they had. Our girls really struggled to get hold of the ball second half.
  11. Blimey. Tough watch this.
  12. In essence those 3 were better than the rest last night.
  13. His nutmeg on the half-volley first time was better.
  14. he is at times, but knows when to come narrow to create room for SS. Antoine just stays on the line....unless he's dribbling - frustrating....and easy to defend.
  15. 1st Half Summary: So diamonds not forever, not even for 45 minutes....NP going with his trusty (???) 4231. Lacking in quality, not helped by pitch, but it took one fine strike from Tyreeq Bakinson - perhaps coupled with good man-management from NP? Massengo tigerish again, if only he'd not slipped at the vital moment inside 5 mins. Bakinson good again, without the goal to add to marked improvement. Nagy got better in his role as the half wore on, but please, please make a tackle. Sessegnon doing well on his first start as a RB for City (other starts RWB or LB). As a team we took 30+ minutes to get Lansbury screening in front of Ikpeazu, and then we start to see Kalas win ball. In fact it was TK's won header that led to the goal, albeit after Stewart miscued his clearance. Wells frustrating, Diedhiou just so on his heels, resembling Bambi on ice. A waste of a shirt. Rowe finding it a struggle on the ball, but doing his defensive stuff well enough. Lansbury showing some bits of quality, but perhaps too keen to play first time....take a touch son. Need to improve second half, or WW will get a spell at some point.
  16. Birmingham, Palmer was excellent....despite having to play behind Fam, who offered us his usual next to nothing. Palmer did Fam's running and pressing that game!!!
