  1. So we know they've got 20 million ready to go... We'll take 18 as a show of good faith ?
  2. Did some great work for us - but the financials mean this is the right call. All the best Bents and thank you for your service (especially that Forest game!).
  3. There we go. I really sympathise with the majority of Russian people. Very few of them want this and we all know who the real evil is when it comes to Russia. Didn't mean to make the thread over-political, given we now know his clear stance let's keep this on the football to save the mods having to jettison pages to the politics forum!
  4. Ah I was hoping crosses would be a strength. Be much better for my nerves if we had a keeper who was box-dominant!
  5. Has represented Russia internationally but without a cap at first-team level so far as I can tell. Bit uncomfortable time to sign a Russian international, capped or not? Or am I overthinking it?
  6. Decent disguise to. Managed to make it look like a header in real time! Well, to me anyway.
  7. I seem to recall an incident involving Arsenal maybe 6 seasons ago where a player handballed it on the line and got sent off, but again it was the wrong guy that saw the red. The guilty player said ‘ref, it was me!’ (it was easy to lip read on the sky cameras) - but they went with their decision. Maybe a case of not wanting teams to sacrifice a ‘less important’ player? A case for VAR certainly. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gibbs were the two involved iirc.
  8. @Deluded Sag unemployment is a nightmare mate but keep getting those CV’s out and before you know it you won’t have all this spare time ? chin up fella.
  9. Yea as OP mentioned, Weimann is the first to mind for me. He'll have played 93 minutes and you'll see him run three quarters of the field to held defend a counter and it's just like... how? Machine.
  10. Big pinch of salt with any timeframe given by the club - they almost always underplay it. We played well today, refs didn’t help us. I suspect we’re saving all our referee luck up for the FA Cup final. ? Injured: Wilson Benarous Weimann Conway Good point. 6 unbeaten all comps. 7 points off the drop. COYR. ?️
  11. And that’s exactly what we’ve done, 1 change to the 18 as Kalas replaces Kadji on the bench. Love to see it. Here’s hoping with time comes form and with form, a new contract. Injured: Wilson Benarous Weimann Conway Most of the season we’ve been around the 4 mark for injuries - very solid. Rennie was a damn good pick up from Nige.
  12. Sorry all, I've booked a ticket for me and my pops for this one. We don't go to cup games much, the last two were Fulham knocking us out the FA Cup last season and the Lincoln fiasco this season. Again, sorry.

Re-did his ACL, out for the season.
  14. It's a hell of a goal having now seen it on highlights. Like - really really good. He had so much to do when King played that pass into him. One of my favourite goals we've scored this season to be honest (and not just because of the opponent!).
  15. Letting optimism take over - with Corberan catapulting WBA towards the play-offs maybe they’ll go weak for the 4th round. On our day we go toe to toe with anyone in this division; see us vs Sheff U in November(?). Doable… difficult, but doable.
  16. Well, nice to still be fighting on two fronts I guess! Wasn’t that fussed on the result tonight but I’d be lying if I said the Bell goal didn’t almost bring my house down. Pring… hopefully a precautionary sub after a night in the wars. Will update if I hear anything but for now let’s assume and hope he’s fine. Injured: Kalas Wilson Benarous Weimann Conway
  17. Get in ? Long night but lovely to do them at their place. TURN THAT MUSIC UP FELLAS.
  18. 8.5 year extension for young Alex ‘Mudryk’ Scott please!
  19. The move is clearly beneficial to the atmosphere but if it's going to be done (and I really think we should go for it) it has to be done properly and not at the expense of one another. The atmosphere was significantly better on Saturday and the performance suggests the players liked it. I know it's well trodden ground but giving away fans an entire stand and tucking our most vocal supporters in a corner is the complete wrong way around. A set up that will benefit the atmosphere could genuinely equate to many more points in a season. All the talk of fine margins in modern football, this is a really obvious and highly beneficial move that should have bee acted on yonks ago.
  20. Get to bed @Ashton Hero you’ve got school!
