  1. Halfway through the season and 27 points - could be close. Two more tough games this month… it’s all a bit concerning but this squad is more than good enough to see us over the line. We were the better side today imo, we HAVE to start converting that to points. Injured: Kalas Wilson Benarous A bit of a knock for Williams led to some limping - fingers crossed not an issue.
  2. Mad to be writing him off! He’ll find his form again, get a run in the team and all will be fine. He’s a very talented player.

    Pearson

The Pearson grudges are so exhausting. After the game he’s made a comment along the lines of ‘if I’m playing King there you know what I think of the other CB’s’. Basically saying he has no faith in Klose and Atkinson, both of whom are tidy centre backs. Not perfect - but perfect players don’t play at this level. It feels like if you played for Leicester under Pearson - you could give away two penalties and crap in the centre circle - you’re still not getting criticised or dropped. Anyone else - you’re a bad half away from exile.
  4. Weimann, Vyner, Dasilva all fit; the first 2 in the XI, Jay on the bench. Atkinson and Kadji absent from the squad to allow Vyner and Dasilva back in, we’ll keep an ear out to see if Atkinson has a knock. Kadji is surely just out through competition. Injured: Kalas Wilson Benarous
  5. This game marks the midway point of our league season, they're the only team we're yet to play. A win will see us on 30pts, therefore on course for 60 which is comfortable survival. It'll be very nice to be back at the Gate after such an extended leave, let's drum up a real atmosphere to welcome the team home ready to take the points.
  6. Not to make light of it, spectator health is very important of course. But 'hurt while celebrating' did make me smile. My Dad injured his back recently and when we were watching City and we scored I'd be a mix of celebrating like a loon and making sure he stayed still to protect his back. He never did but got away with it thankfully!
  7. Saturday's two results made me turn so quickly from international back to club football I almost got whiplash. That said I'll still watch the semi's and final, if only because there's bugger all else on.
  8. Tonight and every other night. There is one team in this ******* city and it is us. Always together, always this club.
  9. I think given it’s still a bit tight with the money… I’d be tempted to move Bentley on. No doubt a risk but Max looks very steady, probably shaded MoM today with a collection of catches and saves. We just have to trust the recruitment in Bajic, and certainly not judge him on a disappointing night against Lincoln where we weren’t at it.
  10. Lovely return, really enjoyed that. Played some good stuff in moments and defended well. O’Leary very good (barring a bit of ropey kicking - easily forgiven). Sadly, Weimann takes a knock. Hopefully not serious! Injured: Kalas Vyner - ill Dasilva - ill Wilson Benarous Weimann
  11. Well whatever happens tonight, today is good. Well bloody done City, big win. Love it. ?️?️?️
  12. No Kalas, Wilson or Benarous in the squad today as expected. Slightly odd though is the lack of Vyner and Dasilva. Klose and Massengo are bombed out but the other two? With Kadji taking a place on the bench I wonder if there’s a sickness bug or something. All speculation for now though. Some day of football this. Let’s start strong with 3 big points. COYR. ?️
  13. No bad teams left. We all know what Croatia can do to us. Argentina has a forward line directly from God. Dutch love a World Cup (up until the final usually). But we are well in this.
  14. Well ****. IF we beat France tomorrow, I think we’re favourites.
  15. Yea it's all a bit silly. I suppose Rotherham rejected streaming to encourage fans to the ground but as you say, most of us have a workaround at this point.
  16. Good spot both. Surely Rotherham can't stream it themselves but not allow us to? Edit: Just seen this on their site saying it's audio pass only for the UK, video pass for abroad. Piss up and brewery coming to mind here. https://www.themillers.co.uk/news/2022/december/read--reminder-of-1230pm-kick-off-time-for-weekend-meeting-with-bristol-city/
  17. Running out of superlatives for Jude Bellingham.
  18. Japan chose to tackle this group the pure way, lose to Costa Rica but beat Germany and Spain. Respect that game plan! ?
  19. Rashford on the march! Joint top scorer and firing England to a comfortable win ?????????? Do one you Welsh tossers ?

    FA Cup 22-23

At least it's a derby I guess. But same-league draws are a bit bland.
  21. My god this tournament is serving up some stinkers. At least the knock outs have some guaranteed drama, it’s needed. I keep considering skipping a game to do something productive but the second I’m not watching there’ll be a 4-4.
  22. Unchanged team. Shoulda gave Kane the night off given his ankle sounds fragile! Hopefully Southgate knows what he’s doing. Come on England. ???
  23. What a header Fammy. Get them out your system now before we play you in the 16’s!
  24. Early whispers Harry Kane’s injury isn’t too serious. I’d be bloody tempted to give him Friday off anyway, he’s pivotal to our team but I’d back a Sterling-Wilson-Saka trio with our wealth of sub options against USA.
