  1. Yea always a fun derby to watch. Two nice Real goals and some fiery moments too - could boil over later. Some Atleti fans have been racially abusing Vini Jr. tonight and of late. Hoping he scores and dances in front of them. Top young player being subjected to vile nonsense.
  2. Game on. QPR then Cov for us after the internationals, take a point against Gers at the gate and do Cov and we’ll stay in the mixer.
  3. Me and my dad were immediately head in hands, saying ‘yellow, yellow, yellow’ in hope ?
  4. Impressive call at HT. You’re in Nige’s head. I struggle to ever want to see Scott off the pitch, though that yellow had slipped my mind (it was a darker yellow too). Yea it’s not always obvious the status of each player. I just like to keep record for myself and figured I’d do it here so people could look at a glance. Some guesswork but hopefully with my shiny new category it’ll be slightly clearer. Onto the bloody Nations League now, wish I could hibernate for a fortnight.
  5. I mean it’s really disappointing to lose two in a row after 8 unbeaten… but horrid fixtures to face back to back and we’re still top-half. Hopefully we can push on in the league after the break. And win the League Cup. Gonna do something slightly different from now as some players play for the unders before reappearing for the firsts. Injured: Kalas Benarous Building fitness: Bajic Klose Couple of close calls today. Conway and Scott off at HT surprised me (Conway clashed with the keeper about 2 mins before HT) and Williams almost hurt himself with a weird fall. But we’ll wait and see.
  6. Nothing new to report from the lineup today. Kane Wilson remains a mystery, you heard any whispers @Davefevs?
  7. You don’t think Klose would be on the bench if fully fit? That’s why I think he might’ve aggravated or something. No new injuries I saw tonight is a plus, think all changes were just about chasing more goals. I really think we can do something special this season, but my god, the team need to sharpen up defensively.
  8. I really want to be happy with the performance but can’t help but be frustrated. Attack does it’s job, 2 goals on the road, but our defensive Achilles heel is just so painful. 2 simple passes opening up a back 5 (I know the wing backs play high but they HAVE to be ready to defend), and another corner which we just can’t cope with. They should’ve scored with their other one too. I’ve a horrible feeling come May we’ll know, this could’ve been the year. But the defence made it not so. Ahh. Onwards. Need to exorcise the pain with a big win at Burnley.
  9. Bajic Kalas Klose Benarous Tanner returns to the bench. For the absentees, Wilson, Pring, Klose, I speculate Klose still has that knock and the other two miss out due to competition for places. I’m nervy for tonight, Norwich are bloody good. COYR!!! ?️?️
  10. Prime hooligans the pair of us ?
  11. Andi does indeed have a song, the Bowie Starman song. ‘Andi Weimann plays in Red and White, he plays for Bristol City and he’s ******* dynamite.’ Not particularly interesting fact - me and my dad sing ‘he scores for Bristol City’ as the double use of ‘plays’ sounds a bit crap.
  12. From a purely footballing perspective; Greece and Egypt love their football. A tournament in those countries would be pretty cool.
  13. Look, it’s truly sad the Queen passed. But she passed peacefully at 96 years old surrounded by family - literally in her castle. I’m finding this forced sadness thing a bit silly. It’s good to keep our humour, life can be so bleak and cruel, we’ve all got so many stresses. Let’s stick together and keep smiling. Not a dig at all Pill, just thought I’d share my thoughts ?
  14. Why just football? Never mind. Back to work everyone, need to keep the rich happy. Mourn on your own time (at home or a rugby match, that’s your call).
  15. Just what we need post Covid, more time apart, alone at home rather than coming together. Fools. When on earth do they plan on fitting these games in, we’re already at capacity with the WC.
  16. You’re out-optimisting this optimist (try saying that pissed) ?
  17. I don’t think Pring was ever injured, just not making the bench due to competition, but I think both Klose and Tanner had knocks. So being very over cautious it’s: Bajic Kalas Klose (played for U23’s so maybe ready) Tanner (see Klose) Benarous
  18. Red button for those not travelling I believe.
  19. I think if we're still in a good position to challenge come January; Scott, Semenyo and Weimann would want to help us try to see it through. Scott has already made it clear he'd rather be playing in the Championship than rotated in the prem, Weimann seems to have had other clubs in for him in the Summer but chose to stay with our project and Semenyo seems settled here too. The two youngsters will also know half a year makes little difference when they've got 14 more playing years in them. One thing I hope this squad realise, if they did manage to fire us up this year, it would be so much more than just good for their career trajectory. They'd be legends in this City forever. There'd be songs sung about them for decades. It probably won't happen, but if it did, they'd be immortal.
  20. What was an international challenge match, as seen on that final programme? Google is not helping me!
  21. Wow, with Klose and Tanner playing that just leaves: Bajic Kalas Benarous We've solved the great mystery of football. That season when we had ~17 injuries we were ~17th. Now we've got three we're third (well, we were until yesterday, now fourth). Get Bajic and Kalas back fit and we can plan the open top bus.
  22. That'd be good to see. If the other three freebies from the summer are anything to go by I'm excited to see what Bajic can bring. I've never seen him play but I'm hoping for a penalty box commander.
  23. Great away win on Saturday and all the subs looked tactical to me so no new injuries to worry about (unless I missed something others saw?). The oddity I did notice was George Tanner losing his place on the bench to Andy King, and given we had Williams and HNM on the bench it seems unlikely it was because Pearson wanted another CM available. Especially when you factor in Tanner's ability to play RCB. I'll leave him off the injured list for now but I strongly suspect a knock. Bajic Kalas Klose Benarous So far, so excellent from this squad. Keep it up reds
  24. This might be less speculative soon! Leicester behind despite leading after 50 seconds. Not sure how secure Rodger’s job is!
