Scott Twine - Loan Confirmed - No option to buy

Would be very suprised if we do end up shelling out 5m. That’s Manning getting almost as much in his first window as Nige had in all of his Aside from that I think we are getting to the point where improvements will cost big money, was said in the summer countless times “to improve on what we have will be very costly.” I don’t expect every transfer to be this expensive but young English attackers come at a premium, and although this g/a might not accurately reflect it Twine is one of the more creative players in the league. And as he’s already worked with Manning go for it I say. -

If Scott Twine isn’t in Burnley’s plans now or when they come down they will obviously look to regain their investment, which can only happen if people are interested in him. Ergo he needs to play regularly (and play well) which he is looking less and less likely to get with Hull. Good business by Burnley if true, looks like we got the short straw though if Hull end up getting Benson in! Edit: Just clocked, anyone else think Twine looks identical to Leandro Trossard? Hopefully he plays like him -

FFS I love Tanner defensively but my god he seems to be allergic to going forward, had the ball on the left flank and worked it well onto the right and he’s got that whole side of the pitch to run into and he just doesn’t. Why ffs!?!? -

It’s so clear we lack quality in the final ball, someone to transition play from half way in their half to the final third. We work the ball well down the flanks and into midfielders in their half but after that it becomes so congested or just poor. -

Will this end up being another low on confidence low block team we fail to break through? -
Meant as someone part of our front 4 e.g CAM, LW, RW, ST if you want traditional positions. And that’s what I mean about one of our highest earners leaving, it frees up significant wages which might suggest incomings this window, no point freeing up wages just for the sake of having them there imo.

This move suggesting there should be some incomings this window? Would’ve thought andi is one of our highest earners and if he does go that leaves us short on experienced attackers.

Glad we aren’t going all guns blazing on that, 5mil is way to steep imo. 3 and under and then there’s a conversation to be had but we could make two other quality signings with 5 million. Correct decision I think. -

Yeah my bad, got them mixed up with Middlesbrough somehow. Still, even if they have an owner willing to spend I don’t see how they make it stick when realistically they would have to replace almost an entire starting midfield, 2/4 decent forwards and potentially another as they’ll struggle to keep hold of Philogene. And as was mentioned already, their defence isn’t near the standard of the rest of team anyway so that would need reinforcement, same with probably a new keeper. You’re looking at the very least 8 players imo that would have to be better than what they already have. -

Buzzing we’ve already played Hull twice this season! Connolly Philogene Delap Carvalho That is a ridiculous attack for what is currently a midtable side, can see them making a push second half of the season, but with the amount of loans they have it would be Sheffield United v2 in the prem next season for them! -
Tommy Conway Post-Match interview: “To score with 9000 of us here, no better feeling” Love that from him, proper city lad.

For a man who’s relatively new to first team management LM has shown some very promising signs especially with that performance. Brilliant response to an undeniably poor performance against Millwall, and tactically we set up very well and only a small lapse of concentration early on cost us a clean sheet. When LM was announced I was afraid his relative inexperience would lead to a lack of tactical nuance compared to other championship managers, very glad to see he’s proving me wrong. COYR.

Was one of my first games that match, was sitting in the Atyeo and you could hear the snap, pretty sure he waved as he was being stretchered off though! Good chap.

I don’t know where he’s got this corner taking ability from but it is class. If he carries on like this I genuinely thinks he’s goes to a “big 6” club in the summer. Unnaturally talented.
