  1. Playing some very nice intricate football down the left, but we are so one sided it’s ridiculous at the moment.
  2. Might be this tbf. Tanner Vyner Dickie Skyes TGH James Knight Pring Weimman Conway
  3. Sadly, I just haven’t seen anything from Cornick that I think suggests he should start or be subbed on unless we are defending a lead and need fresh legs. His off the ball workrate and aerial ability are probably the best of our three strikers, but he reminds me of Nagy on the ball. Looks like Bambi on ice. Maybe some confidence will change that but currently I’m utterly unsold on him.
  4. For some reason, I really want to see Conway either behind the striker or either side of one. Feels like it makes better use of his traits.
  5. Completely agree. Not just Knighty, but so many times we seem to get complete basics wrong it frustrates the hell out of me. Especially when we are building pressure and a 6 yard pass goes out of play relieving the opposition. Williams, Knight, Sykes and Cornick are the ones that spring to mind that this happens with most often but can be seen across the whole squad. Luckily I think that’s one of the things that LM is big on, in getting the basics down before anything else so hopefully we see improvement on that front.
  6. JL calling our squad “a top 6” squad multiple times in recent weeks has not done anything to help the start of LMs tenure. Really like the look of his style so far personally, and am looking forward to what he can do with some more time and a window or 2 under his belt but that’s the future. At present we have a midtable squad imo, and due to the youth of our squad I feel some have much higher expectations of certain players then they should, which ig is the downside on relying on academy talent so young. There is obviously the ability to perform higher then said “skill level” e.g Luton but to rely on that and still demand top 6 is ludicrous I think.
  7. Joe Williams has been poor tonight since coming on, can’t contribute to an attack at all with his standard of passing
  8. Some brilliant football being played, love that we already seem so much less predictable in possession. The passing to create conways 1 on 1 chance was the best I’ve seen this season.
  9. I can see a 1-1 here, they’ll be looking to stamp their authority after a rather poor draw to Huddersfield on the weekend. Can see them controlling from the start and we get the opener on the break towards the end of the first half. Will probably try to hold out and concede in the final twenty. Would bite your hand off for a draw now, but a win would really get LM off to a bright start so here’s hoping . COYR.
  10. Exactly this. In reality, no matter who’s saying them the words “front foot”, “forward thinking” and “attacking football” are relatively moot. Every team wants to score and every team wants to win. You need to attack to do that. Would I have liked us to have more shots on target in the first 30? Yes. But I wasn’t at all unhappy about how we played. The words I’d use are “controlled” “thoughtful” and to some degree “unpredictable” to describe how we played. Some people hear the words front foot attacking football and instantly think prime Brazil or 17/18 Man City. Which is why I understand why some might be annoyed at JL using them to describe how we want to play. In reality they are big phrases with not a lot of actual meaning.
  11. Personally don’t really see the need to micro analyse JL’s every action at events like this as if he’s planning the clubs doom behind the scenes. Is he a brilliant public speaker? Obviously not. Is he trying to harm the club in any way? Obviously not. Is he passionate about our club? Obviously, he wouldn’t have stayed in his position for so long if he wasn’t. To clarify he said “overall reaction” not overreaction when asked about the communication of Niges sacking. And his response was correct in my opinion. Decisions like that will never please everyone, but communicating the clubs goals and current objectives more effectively will mean that the reaction will be less explosive when those decisions are made. Also, people will ask questions they want the answers for, were some of them answered in an interview 11 months ago, or relatively obvious? Yes. But insulting peoples questions is a tad silly tbh, most people there probably weren’t going to try to pressure sensitive answers to uncomfortable questions. The only part I had a problem with was the response to the questions about the lack of communication on u21s games, I agree that was awful. Whether the changes in the structure of the clubs senior hierarchy and management are for good/bad is all wait and see now. Personally, I rather like this LM fella and am pretty optimistic about our future, but I haven’t had to endure the decades of almosts and disappointments many have so I gather I’m in the minority. Either way COYR bring on Wednesday night!
  12. Brilliant stuff! Terrible opening 5 but we’ve been on top last 10 and back in front. Keep composure and concentration, COYR!
  13. Our completely shite atmosphere does nothing to help in this situation btw
  14. That’s brilliant most Bristol city goal to concede ever!
  15. I hate to break this to you, but Alex Scott looks nothing like Nahki Wells.
  16. Sam Bell really isn’t the player I thought he was going to be
  17. Cant make a pass in their final third at all, and barely in their half. Playing possession football is all well and good but pointless if you can’t do it in an oppositions half.
  18. Need Knight to start further forward against boro and TGH to play from the off.
