  1. Feels very much like Sam bell has the pace but can’t take on a man and mehmeti doesn’t have the pace but can take on a man, somewhere work on merging the two. Belleti sounds like a brilliant winger to me
  2. Vyner and Dickie keeping us in the game, defending the six yard box brilliantly. Cant string 2/3 passes together in there half
  3. Correct subs, need pace going forward and some composure in the middle of the park
  4. I’ve always rated Andi, but he’s literally lost the ball every time he’s had it in their half
  5. Also, sometimes I fking hate Bristol city, why can’t we just be good at everything. 21/22 we were a decent team going forward and at parts last year until we sorted our defence out. Now are defence is arguably one of the best in the league but we can’t even get a shot against a relegation contender. (Edit: yes Ik “why can’t we be good at everything” sounds very naive )
  6. I can’t really tell if TC is being starved of the ball or his relative inexperience means he’s not making the correct runs to try and receive it. He’s had about 4 touches in that first half and most of them nowhere near the box.
  7. Ik he’s not been here long at all, but for your “modern, front footed, attacking manager” that was the poorest attacking performance we’ve had so far this season, by quite some way as well.
  8. Don’t want to take a risk it seems, just leads to us sideways passing until they trigger the press and we either hoof it or lose possession. Bereft of confidence going forward it seems
  9. What’s the difference between an academy manager and director? Unless it’s manager in footballing terms rather then business.
  10. The main thing it will do, hopefully, is force more communication from the higher ups. Because Nige was a “manager” it was a little easier for them to stew silently and let nige handle public statements/press etc. Whilst I have no doubt LM will still do those things, as a “head coach” it’ll be harder to hide behind him if there is scrutiny about transfer policy/finances etc.
  11. Someone may have brought his attention to either/both of them, but as the academy manager at the time it would’ve been his decision whether to sign them after a trial I’d assume. Wouldve also been him who promoted them, especially Alex, through the academy so quickly.
  12. It’s a text based platform fella, whatever tone you think someone is messaging with is your own interpretation.
  13. Don’t think Tinnion said he didn’t want a Scott replacement either, he’s correct in saying that it would’ve been majorly expensive to replace someone of his ability and influence in a team. Think he was trying to say that although nige (and just about everyone) wanted a Scott replacement, is he happy with the current squad knowing that a Scott replacement is out of budget. Which nige was positive about. And I agree, Alex Scott was an outliar for us and probably the majority of champ clubs, way to good for this level. But comparing the squad as a whole between January and now I think we are far better off.
  14. @Davefevs saw your play style breakdown of LM at Oxford, just on the pressing part, do you think we will press less now with him in as he’s more about efficiency than intensity or will we continue to use a high continuous press like we have recently?
  15. What questions would you have asked LM? And we all know JL isn’t the best public speaker, especially live. One of his better interviews personally.
  16. That’s something that speaks a lot to me, sometimes we play nice football and build momentum well but get bogged down by basic mistakes (Sheff W was a clear example).
  17. A “foreign option” wouldn’t have championship or PL experience either you plum
  18. “The games for the fans” Steve wouldn’t have told him to say that!
