  1. 100% agree, most still see him as the grumpy old man in charge of Leicester but personally I can’t remember the last time I had so much excitement/confidence about a new season. Clear plans. Clear goals. Clear direction.
  2. Class bit of business that, someone that would be worth 5x as much or more a couple of years ago. Only reason he lost value/declined in form imo was because of the manager roulette QPR were playing. Hopefully he can get back to playing his best football with nige ?
  3. Does anyone know if they announced the date the away kit would be shown?
  4. Fair enough, like I said I was unsure, i have no doubt that Tinns and Nige have done their due diligence. Just personally hoping that the £3million price reported is skewed as it seems to me a lot for him.
  5. Will have a look ? To be fair I might’ve been swayed by the “Scottish league is tripe” stereotype.
  6. Still so unsure about this. Admittedly not watched much of the Scottish league and never an Aberdeen game but £2-3million?? Much like our forum it seems Aberdeen fans are split down the middle with some devastated he’s leaving and others thinking their ceo/chairmen has played a blinder if £3mil is the genuine price. Not trying to be pessimistic but surely that amount of money for someone untested at championship level is highly risky when it could be spent on more experienced targets?
  7. If this is true would suggest the end of Kalas’ journey at BCFC. Would be sad to see him go but I think this guy seems a sound replacement which hopefully won’t cost too much. One that very much isn’t the already established prime championship CB but has all the makings of one. Can easily see people looking back on this in a years time as either a complete steal or a massive flop if he can’t regain confidence.
  8. Been tweeting consistently the last 3 days, with notifications on I keep thinking finally someone will be announced but it’s just one of our under 14s making the Bhutan under 15s or something.
  9. Think it can easily go one of two ways; 1. They manage some good results (most likely at home) early in the season and they stay up with their current style although I think it will be just barely. 2. They get demolished in their first couple of games by the likes of Man City/Newcastle etc who will quite obviously beat the press as they can’t really play defensively as they aren’t good enough to keep out prem teams. And most likely end up bottom by quite some way. Nothing against Luton or the job they’ve done this season but that tactic only works when you have confidence and are playing people close to your skill level. The difference between them and the majority of prem teams is just to great imo and might just lead to a 14 point season for Luton.
  10. 100% agree, I think Luton will take the money and run knowing there is a very small chance they survive next year. Reinvest it correctly into both facilities and players to elevate the club as a whole and have a better chance at getting back into the prem in the future.
  11. Tbh I could actually see something like this happening.
  12. Agreed that not much can be said until the transfers window closes or at least until we know who is managing every team. But I agree with previous comments that on paper this coming season looks like a very competitive one. Luckily football is played on grass ?.
  13. Most complain that the seats aren’t as comfy as the armchairs in front of their TVs. So yes.
  14. Liverpool being not far away definitely isn’t a positive.
  15. Would that be a deal breaker? Failed medical maybe?
  16. Agreed, think they will see at least 3 midfield incomings, could easily see him getting the same treatment as djed spence at spurs.
  17. A lot of talk on Twitter today from various Liverpool accounts saying they are and have been playing close attention to Alex. maybe suggest if he plays well for the u20s they might come in for him? Nothing confirmed but something to think about. Is a rebuilding Liverpool the right fit for our 19 year old maestro?
  18. There’s no place for him in our best back four currently. well…. Obviously???? Young tenacious player who was brought in because of his potential not current ability. During his injury Tanner started games and done brilliantly, why would Pearson drop him? And by The time he was back fit our bench was already very strong so it was hard to fit someone returning from injury with no match experience in? A full pre season will do him good and will probably start the season as cover for Tanner, if Tanner doesn’t perform or gets injured he will come in with a versatile mccorrie as cover in that position. All seems very easy to understand to me. Cant pick every player for every game.
  19. Players don’t lose skill? I’d agree that maybe his fitness wasn’t what it was but I’d expect nige and co to do their due diligence to make sure he’s up to scratch. Just because he hasn’t played as much and is a bit older doesn’t mean he’s got worse? Look at nahki, didn’t play last season except off the bench but is our top goal scorer in the league this year. Think people massively undervaluing him as the top championship player he is. If we had a game now id realistically pick him over mehmeti to play ok the left wing in a heartbeat. Mehmeti has the potential to be brilliant but currently a very 1 dimensional player. Who better to learn from then someone like joe!
  20. JB had a very good cross on him, think he’s got it in the locker tbf but apart from his playoff goal for Fulham can’t remember him taking free kicks.
  21. Love so see nige confident in our ability to try challenge for top 6 next year and from what it sounds like the players want to as well. Even if we got it in and didn’t win it or missed it by a few points that progression is brilliant with the situation he was initially handed.
  22. Like some in here, I think it’s probably to early to say. Buttttt, if we were to have a good window (sign experienced players in positions that we clearly need support in) and don’t lose any of our important talent bar Scott. Conway, pring vyner etc (which I think might be a lot more difficult then some think) I would definitely expect improvements. Wont say top 6 or 8 etc because that seems a silly metric to work off. If we can gain 11 points on this seasons tally that takes us to 70, if that gets us playoffs great but if not I still see it as a definite success. I’d say minimum 65+ but aiming for 70 is a goal that is achievable and realistic.
  23. It would be 6 years in which he turnt a relegation fodder club into a prem team, whilst improving it financially, at the youth level and with the culture around the club. If you can’t wait 3 more years for that I wonder why you support city.
  24. If he grabs a couple goals & assists it might make things a whole lot more lucrative for us.
