  1. I cannot explain it. That cross a few minutes ago, the defender headed it for a throw to City and jogged across to defend it, never even appealed for the throw, but got it. He seemed as surprised as our players did. Take the hint ref.
  2. Nige should remind the players that the travelling fans expect more. We are treading water.
  3. That's really good technique, wrap with the arm, head to one side. Sadly, the wrong sport.
  4. Loose ball 3m out, Bell favourite to get there, clearly got rugby tackled.

  6. Lino on the wrong side to see that rugby tackle on Bell.
  7. Supposed to be helping my son with his homework instead of watching the game. That could be more entertaining! Maybe Sky could put it on the red button. We seem happy to lead them on into our half just so they over commit for our break.
  8. Worthy of the 'no atmosphere' joke?
  9. An odd place. You can be driving through a forest landscape one minute, then go around the corner and be faced with a view of Port Talbot. Having said that, the New Forest and Fawley Refinery are the same.
  10. Sounds like it will test the sleep pattern gurus in the teams affected by time zone travel. So the shirt sleeves will say 'World Cup 2030 Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay' They are gonna need a bigger shirt. It all sounds extremely messy. Well, cr4p really.
  11. I am sure cars are not allowed on the pitch?
  12. Yes, probably but everyone would have pointed out they had no grounds in the world of common sense. I feel for those involved in this mess. We are all human and make mistakes, easy for me to say as I have no support for either team, but I would hate any job where you face trial by media. I try to judge things by whether there was some form of deliberate cheating or bias. I don't see that here, as bad as it was.
  13. This is exactly my take on it. Human error and a bad one but they could have stopped the play, awarded the goal and gone for a kick off. Not too difficult? The right outcome is the 1st priority, pressing on regardless compounds the error.
  14. Just off the bottom of that list:- Before the game - Check guy ropes At HT - Stop crowd from leaving After the game - Rescue players from under the bus
  15. Take the frustration from Saturday out on them. Be clinical and professional. A good opportunity to put it right.
  16. Should say '....BUT UNLIKELY' on the end.
  17. I think there has been trouble before with them and Oxford? All a bit weird, can't be the same genteel Oxford that we see in Inspector Morse episodes? Having said that, they have several murders every week in that program. More dangerous than that Midsomer village place, who would want to live there?
  18. I picture both sets of fans enjoying tea, coffee and croissants, politely chatting about each others fortunes so far this season and parting on good terms, wishing each other good luck for the games ahead. No?
  19. I have seen these in the Alps - I think it is where they intend to dry wood ahead of the winter. Nice picture of the cricket ground lights in the distance.
  20. I have only read the basic reports but it seems perfectly feasible that a player feels ok but things tighten as the body cools down at HT and muscle strains start to take effect. They decide to try to run it off, maybe the wrong decision in hindsight but players want to play.
  21. The sort of game that the players need to learn from, the sort of game where next time we go 2-0 up, the coaches can say 'remember Stoke'. These things happen, just make sure it doesn't happen again.
