  1. Yeh but he would be, what, upward of £6m? So it makes sense to target AS and save a few quid, FFP and all that.
  2. Well it was either that or another open top bus tour I suppose. Maybe the group in the foreground have just remembered how that went down.
  3. If that is his 'main target' I hate to think what chances he has with his lesser targets.
  4. This is the rub though isn't it? I spent some time working in docklands in the 90s, got a feeling for the history and identity of the area but that has nothing to do with throwing rocks endangering everyone on board. If City fans did the same I would feel the same. I hope the police and MFC find the time to track down those captured on phone footage.
  5. Imagine being on those coaches with your children. But then again, I wouldn't have gone with them in the first place, which is what the brick throwers want to achieve I guess. So, with mobile phone footage of the culprits, what happens next?
  6. Sky pundit scathing saying 'Millwall fell apart 2nd half'. After being 3-1 up at HT? What was the team talk? Shame.?
  7. Sunderland have deserved their big win.
  8. Is it just my phone that seems to have a faulty screen??
  9. I am sure they will have a substitute plan, they seem to have substitutes for everything!
  10. This is a forum equivalent of a bar of chocolate. Having said that a tough choice. If I base my choice on who my Dad and me were most disappointed to see were missing on the team sheet back in our day, I would probably say Tainton. That was a fine era with great players but he seemed to make the side tick, linking the defence to attack via Whitehead and very versatile. Also close would be Merrick and Gow for different reasons.
  11. Well it is quite breezy today, I suggest they just stay at home and let nature take its course. If they don't get planning permission then just put them back up again in August.
  12. A 9 point deduction this season would be even funnier. The BBC page for the game shows Bolton used 5 and Rovers used 7.
  13. The only thing that new cattle 'stand' will attract, if it gets built in time, is physios who can charge to fix the stiff necks from peering around all those pillars.
  14. I must write to the BBC to complain. Their web site says Rovers missed out on the play offs by 24 points, but Joey was certain they were going up so the BBC league table page must be way out of date. Very poor.
  15. I assume the 6th richest club in the country must be in one of the auto promotion spots. That is why they aren't mentioned in the play off discussions.
  16. In the 3rd picture, some poor chap seems to be heading out to the sea for his daily cold water swim in the quiet of an empty ocean and all of a sudden gets caught up in a scrap by 3 hooligans.
  17. Is he saying Rovers aren't one of the Big 6 then?
  18. You could look at that another way and say that is not the same Blackburn that won the PL.
  19. Except Cardiff and Reading are relegation candidates yet both got more than twice as many live games as us. Maybe it is the mid table mediocrity that causes it, nothing to play for. Or maybe Nige needs to get a sideline acting career in Hollywood......
  20. Ok, get that but the difference in games is massive. It gets me going on my usually suppressed rage about anti west country bias. I end up supporting anyone south west of a line drawn between Manchester and London, in any sport. Well, apart from one team....
  21. I suppose that helps to explain the 'who's Alex Scott' comments from other club's supporters. Even more interesting that he won the award assuming most neutral viewers would stick with the HD studio match mid week rather than squint at the red button games.
  22. Someone has to be bottom of that table but the disparity is huge. Surely there should be a vaguely even number of games for each team.
  23. For AS it needs to be a club on the up, not one that could face upheaval due to relegation or change of ownership/manager regime. No need to chase the money, that will come with the right choice, if he decides to leave.
  24. I consider myself a very, very, very late developer. ? Hope for me yet then. Phone is on.
  25. I remember watching a City win a game live on Sky when Cotts was manager. After the game the presenters were pitch side, going through the usual motions in a near empty AG when Cotts joined them live for a chat. They all laughed and joked their way through a recap of the game, easy enough I guess as City had won, but there seemed a genuine, relaxed feel about the interview. The TV people must have known they were dealing with a character who was easy going and he was happy to oblige. It was just like watching mates chatting in a pub. Contrast that with JB interviews.
