  1. Couldn’t agree more.Saw it live on TV, I was 11. Unbelievable that Banks kept it out Same game as -that Tackle by Moore against Pele.
  2. Manning will pick the side. Pity it can’t be picked by this forum as a lot feel Sykes,Williams and Pring need to be benched. My sentiments exactly. You would hope Manning sees it too and isn’t stubborn. The end of last season,Robert’s more than justified his place in the side, was unfortuate he got injured. Skyes, doesn’t look the same player post injury. We spend weeks chasing a 10. and then play him on the wing? Somehow we play like Barcelona in training, but this is never replicated in a match
  3. I thought we were fortunate to be able to get Nige to agree to be Manager. I liked him and he gave it straight, rather than the flannel we hear from the current and some of the previous managers. I'm still embarrassed the club got shot of him,He turned things around and got players believing in themselves. This seems to have disappeared already. Manning will be given more time. We have invested and made a number of signings. We do need a win on Saturday but that’s no guarantee against a side on the up. Jury is quite out on him for me.
  4. Agree with all of this. Does seem an odd one using like for like substitutions. My wife has even worked out when he’s likely to make them, so opposition managers must be able to read him like a book.Doesnt get the opposition thinking does it? Lots of games are won by using inspired or tactical substitutions. Probably has a lot to do with our 2nd half performances as nothing really changes. Lots of possession, but not doing an awful lot with it.
  5. I used to deliver the Evening Post. Occasionally,on a Saturday, I was asked by the Newsagent if I could do the Green un round after. This was 1973/74, before the days of ceefax, internet etc,so getting the chance of a free read and results catch up early on a Saturday was a right thrill. When I did get to a game on Saturdays, other half time scores were shown on a big board and you needed to look in the programme to tie up the games to the scores. How times have changed!
  6. Difficult to tell in real time sat far away in the SS,but seeing that reply,it clearly comes off Tanners chest. Ref was pretty bad all afternoon.Should ask for our standard apology letter out of principle. Liners weren’t good either.
  7. Quite agree. same method as ourselves buying Atkinson,Sykes,Mehmeti for example
