I sit in the South Stand so had no real view of events as they were unfolding but I did say to the fellas around me that’s Joe Williams. Instinctively as he has a short fuse and word gets about. He plays right on the edge. He also had one of his more effective games in a City shirt.

Tommy Conway - Signs for 'Boro- Official
Andrew Horsman replied to SecretSam's topic in All Things Ex Players and Managers
With respect I wasn’t commenting specifically about Tommy’s situation rather the reaction to LM marginalising him. I am not in the know about anything. I am just commenting on what has happened to players at another club who have in my opinion been treated in a similar fashion whose circumstances are different to Tommy’s. -

He hasn’t refused to sign a contract or agitated for a move -

Just a slight diversion relating to this long drawn out sorry saga: LM has had his detractors re Tommy training with the u21s etc. This would appear almost like kid glove treatment compared to Chelsea where by all accounts the likes of Broja, Chalobah, Gallagher and Lukaku. who they want shot of, are training with the developed squad, banished from first team meetings/facilities/meals etc. These are players under contract who barring Lukaku have not sought to move. A tad cold to be fair particularly when Chalobah was regularly in the first team match day squad last season and Gallagher needs no introduction. These players may earn big bucks but they still get shuffled, dealt and discarded all the same when it suits! -
Set piece delivery was bloody woeful. Actually got some height and power in the side and dead ball delivery was poor. FALLY took his goal beautifully. Sincs and Birdy decent. Keith was Keith. Williams as a senior pro in the side should know better but booked in the first 15 minutes. Same old story of not capitalising when we are on top in games but that goes back to the Johnson Jnr era. We will get better and so will Hull. That’s my tuppenny’s worth!

Scott Twine - Signed on Four Year Deal - Official
Andrew Horsman replied to BCFC31's topic in Football Chat
My concern, given his injury record, is that even if this ever does come to fruition, his injury jinx could strike again and we are £3-5M down and still desperately seeking the mystical ‘10’. -
Sad day for the family. RIP.

Always a good turnout at AG and noisy too. FairPlay. Their club has had some really tough times since they won the cup in ‘87!

10 games in and they have a point from a home draw against another struggling team and Ashton will be -
Every set piece etc players are going to wind him up now, step on his toes, elbows etc. The full range of dark arts to wind him up. As for the refs…….

I genuinely don’t think with what they have already committed in the way of fees etc that at present, Celtic or Rangers could afford Conway, hence the previous suggestion in the Scottish football press that get would prefer to do a deal in January knowing they would get him for a peppercorn fee. I also think that he is far from a Premier League level player at present but someone is clearly ‘in his ear’. IMHO he’d be better signing a deal with a release clause, better wages (obviously) and developing at City for another couple of years than ending up possibly being a squad player elsewhere. Everyone has an opinion though. -
Is Kal the jocko Kalas?! Time will tell….

If he is half as brave as Brooker, but also a lot less injury prone, he may fit the bill!
