Wally's missing a trick here. All he needs to do is produce an "artist's impression" of an imagined new stadium.

History has shown us that this will keep the gullible fewers happy for at least five years.

I believe one more would be enough to produce a calendar, which could be sold in their club shop and double current revenue streams.

    He already has.......

Well that didn’t take long did it, coming for us again, don’t know about anyone else but I’m absolutely shitting it at the thought of them coming for us (again, and again, and again)

    Sagchat...

I bet One Turd In Bristol has lit up like a ******* Christmas tree with panicking shitheads with all this going on!

    ???  What a w4nker

I suspect the only coming they will be doing is the collective knocking one out over this 'news' - the umpteenth time they've harped on about a new stadium and still nothing

You should perform an immediate virus scan, or a man from India will call and offer to help!

I know a lovely man in Henbury who fixes computers, he can do the job (he deals with all the IT at Ashton Gate as well apparently so comes highly recommended.....)

There owners haven’t put a penny in, they have mortgaged the mem to the hilt to cover the loses, that can no longer be drawn upon (debt exceeds the value) they have serious cash flow problems proven by not being able to pay a nominal fee for a ucd player,

and still they bury their heads in the sand and think this new stadium is a goer - I've still to decide whether it is delusion or the effects of the fumes off the stale Fanta that makes them like this.  Whichever it is, I do not think there is an odder fanbase in the whole of football.

Will the tradesman`s entrance have to be opened at the Man Bar tonight due to the amount of patrons trying to access it post match?

the tradesman's entrance is where Wally was talking out of on the radio earlier - rarely have I heard such nonsense over the airwaves

Not a complete idiot I think. He knows he has a gullible fan base who are usually hooked by promises of jam tomorrow.

They will continue to follow him and in 2 years time when they are no nearer to a new stadium he will blame the Council and they will follow suit.

    Nice watch though.

don't worry it is all sorted out - they've got a watertight contract with the council for this to go ahead, nothing can possible go wrong.....

So far in this transfer window, 4 multi million pound signings for us, while over at the Mem ?????  a camel,2 donkeys and a pile of out of date carrots found round the back of Aldi.

You really are coming for us ?

don't forget they also signed a player that Eastleigh didn't want - for someone who isn't short of a few quid the owner is really splashing out

I read this week that Florist fans were collecting money to help save Notts County.

Would anyone be brave enough to shake a tin for Rovers at Ashton Gate if it came to it?

    Thought not.

no City fan of sane mind would even give them the skidders in their underpants, let alone cash.  I’m usually all for giving something to those less fortunate but there is a line to be drawn as far as that rancid club are concerned

but, but, they sold Taylor to us for £10million did they not? ?

1982 is about the amount of season tickets they've sold isn't it?

    Exactly this..!

Now I wasn’t involved around 1982 (I was only 2/3 yrs old) so admittedly, my knowledge is restricted to stories from friends, on here and reading articles on those times - however as I understand it we didn’t go “bust” - yes, we came damn close, but it never happened. Thanks, largely to the AG8’s well documented sacrifices.

Now I'm aware that “the 8” were left with little choice, as failure to comply with tearing up their contracts would have meant the death of Bristol City Football Club - but their heroic gesture of doing this, enabled us to survive and, by the skin of our teeth, continue, albeit under a reformed company of BCFC 1982 Ltd.

Plenty of clubs now operate under companies far more recently formed that the Est date of their football club - Rovers (and us) included.

We VERY nearly went to the wall, but we DID NOT! Otherwise we’d have lost our ground and our league status. Both things that Rovers have managed all by themselves, without the excuse of financial plight..!

In fact, as I see it, most of those involved around 1982 & onwards, deserve massive credit for keeping our heads above water (forgetting the faults that led to that situation)

I have never really understood the Gas’ mockery of “82’ers” - surely it just makes the gulf between the 2 clubs today, even more incredible, when despite their (underhanded) efforts back then, they were unable to grasp the initiative and succeeded off the back of our plight.

The lessons learned, leading to events of 1982 should never be forgotten - but I take pride from my club surviving that time and growing into what we have here today.

I’d say that “15’ers” is a far more humiliating nickname..!

harping on about 1982 (and every other myth they come up with) is all they’ve got left - compulsive liars of the highest order

    Good post.

I know a few supporters of that tinpot little outfit and, as long as you don't mention City, they are ok. Of course, I never miss an opportunity to wind them up as it is so easy. As you say, I would really like that shite to go under and leave Bristol to us (nearly there anyway, no one mentions them and Bristol in a football sense).

Yep. Horrible little tinpot shit of a club.

    And their supporters are worse.

I'm struggling to think of any other club in the Football League that has such an odd fanbase (what other fans would go up to a 7-year-old kid on holiday wearing his City kit and shout 'sheed' in his face? - bizarre behaviour!) - I would wish them to end up in the Southern League or something but the teams in there don't deserve to endure that 'privilege'

  12. I note they said there was a “massive” queue for the new kit at the “shop” - however when I was in the City shop on Saturday there were more people in there than Rovers average home Gate.  What a pitiful club, still knocking one out over an event from 30 years ago because nothing else has happened since (or before for that matter)

The Gift....on their new marquee signing tonight Gaschat gone crazy with quotes of the form: " he's a good goals to appearances ratio..." - that for a 4 from 31 striker last season.

If he nets another 4 in a season of appearances I'll be delighted....

in their defence, its a good ratio compared to Nicholls......

yes, but theirs don't count as he's not from this country apparently, I would retort with the fact that our owner co-created a FTSE 100 company providing thousands of jobs and millions to the treasury while theirs provide nothing

I would dispute that their owners provide nothing - they’ve provided us with plenty of material to laugh at over the last few years
