Sunday league football at Prem wages with **** all tax…what’s the attraction?.

Another sport that the Saudis are trying to buy.

Its like the Chinese league of a few years ago, only the clubs and owners actually do have the cash.

They've turned their attention to snooker now, a tournament with an extra "golden ball" that will be worth 20 points.

Also, the way our fanbase seems to flip flop on Conway is amazing.

A few weeks ago he was sh*t.
Then he scored away at West Ham and he was great.
Then we lost to PNE and he was sh*t again.
Then we beat West Ham at home and we were worried about Bournemouth taking him.
Now we've drawn with Watford and we need to replace him ASAP.

    F****** hell 😂

If Conway was playing for Preston or Millwall or similar, with the same record, half the people moaning about him would be wanting us to sign him and asking why we can't develop a striker like that.

    Think that's slightly generous.

Set piece delivery was very good, but in open play very little came off for him (with the obvious exception of the tap in). Also thought his pressing lacked a bit of intensity compared to our other midfielders and forwards.

Hopefully it's just a case of him taking a couple of weeks to assimilate.

    That's how he plays.

Frustrating the club moved this to a Friday night, cannot keep travelling 6 hour round trip for evening games! Also means my kids miss out when they want to go, wonder what the rationale was? Hopefully it’s accessible online.

They had no choice. Rugby on the Saturday and the women on the Sunday.

I can confirm that LJ does not want this job.
I understand he’s happy to have a period of time out of the game. His last 2 jobs have left him a little disillusioned and he’s enjoying a break from the game (and in particular, his recent experiences, which were not enjoyable).

Probably the best thing for him. I would bet that with hindsight he wishes he'd had a break after leaving Hibs.

Another coup, same as the Irish lad,do you really believe  they turned down prem clubs & top championship  sides to join us ,if those scouts rated him he'd  be there not here ,every player we sign they tell us it's a coup ,what they really mean it's cheap !!

Do you like anything about the club?

Must have been pre season when I saw him a couple times. His play demands noticing for me which is a good sign. He is involved in the game. He battles and he looked bot technically lost like some of the other young ones that get around the first team for a bit. I think his loan has been encouraging once you consider the injury.

I’d toy with the idea of moving him up a league this month but that isn’t always beneficial. Think another 15 games of league football under his belt even if at L2 and he has a great chance of staying at city next season. If you looked at him as a new signing, no reason his path can’t be similar to Tanner. Full season in L2 and plan to phase him into a championship side. SPH and Aaroye are two of my favourites coming up through right now. Haven’t seen much of Nelson

I could see us keeping him next season and him having a similar role to what Tommy was doing a couple of seasons ago - in the first team group and regularly on the bench, getting minutes where he can and learning from the more senior pros.

There were a few occasions when he first got back where he looked to have lost a yard, last night proved he hadn't. I think he just had to get some games in and forget the injury to fully accept the recovery.
All he needs now it to be a little more aware when he's offside , time his runs better because he has the beating of most CB's. With luck Twine can feed those runs he makes and he can really take off.
The pace and calmness were good, but to realise what could happen with the backpass was instinctive . Still on for 20 goals to push us to top 8

It was noticeable that he got caught a couple of times not long before he came off. Then Nahki came on and was able to beat it, possibly showing that bit of experience and knowhow that Tommy will pick up in time.

    As expected I guess.

Be TS2 - they wouldn’t dare let the  cricket get in the way of the football chart on the main channel .

Yeah, they've already confirmed it'll be TS2 (ad-free!) with odd bits on the main station
