Very much sounds like the continuity candidate.

OTC is the one of the three that surprises me. I thought he'd be the one to push on this season, especially with Scott leaving and so many injuries. Does anyone know why he has drifted so far from the first team? I'm not sure if I can remember him even being on the bench this season and, if he has, I certainly don't think he has come onto the pitch...
Think he's been injured.

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
As I was typing ‘U23 line up’, I was thinking ‘Hang on, don’t they normally put out an U21 team?’.
All is now clear.
Incidentally, does anybody recall when the U23 competition stopped?
It changed to U21 last season, I think the number of overage players allowed increased at the same time.

He had a dispute as they didn’t appear to have paid his wages.
Joined Granada as a result but very much a back up player there.
Yep. Effectively went on strike and refused to go back to Turkey after the World Cup, then moved to Granada in the January window.

I think he was at breaking point. He was exasperated after their last defeat and basically threw the whole team under the bus.
Job for Pearson ?Don't think Nige will be doing anything until he knows where he stands with his health.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Warnock back there.

Wales will have the same eligibility rules as everyone else.

First I've heard of it, it seems his grandmother was born in Pontypridd.

Yep.

If it stops people in privileged positions trying to manipulate the situation, maybe there could be something like a 2 week bar on posting after signing up.
I'm sure that until very recently any new poster had to have their first few posts approved by an admin.

Most managers who are screaming and shouting crap really struggle with getting players to listen to them. That's how it works in the real world. Yes, you get fantastic EXCEPTIONS like Clough and Fergie (and even Colin to a lesser degree) but have a look at the record of ex-players who tried to COPY their methods - it ain't great.
I read an interview with Dean Holden not long after he'd taken over at Charlton where he said that, in his second or third game in charge, they had an absolutely awful first half and at half time he completely lost his rag, shouting, swearing, knocking tactics boards over etc. It got a response in the second half and the performance was much improved, but he said that you can't do that more than maybe a couple of times a season because the players just become immune to it. If you're having to do it all the time then it just means they're not listening to you.

It’s the final group game today, and I see that Roelof bowled Kohli.
I would like to have seen his celebration

Assuming the Netherlands get nowhere near this India total, it'll be a fitting end to one of the dullest group stages I've ever seen in a tournament.

NP cult out in full force tonight
glad the miserable bloke is gone. How refreshing it must be for the players to get instructions from the main man. Not some dinosaur that spent a few days down in Cornwall every week while Fleming and Euell took charge. Out with the journeyman “manager” and in with the fresh head coach. Well done Jon and Brian
Wibble.

We're currently in the grace period where Andy and others of his ilk are right behind the new boss. Previous experience suggests this will last no more than about 6 weeks before they're at the front of the queue demanding his immediate sacking.

Williams was fairly dynamic in the past but the injuries have meant that we've never really seen it in his time here.
