IIRC there was no police presence inside the ground as it hadn't been deemed necessary. A mistake, to put it mildly.

We have to be shown at least 4 times at home, not including red button.
Therefore expect us to be on a fair bit in the New Year, as we haven't been on once yet.

I think someone has taken advantage of the free booze in the airport lounge.

I've just realised who Manning reminds me of, it's Chris Woods, the ex-England keeper.

Yep. Same people survive manager after manager. GK has been weak for some time, needs a change IMO
You have absolutely no idea how good the goalkeeping coach may or may not be.
Though I suppose it's at least a step up from going after the ******* kitman.

You’re right.
A certain person very prominent on a podcast was extremely vocal on here that we should sack him after only about 9 games in.
He might pretend he didn’t say that but he definitely did.
That opinion turned out well, eh?
It's preserved for posterity in the Classics section of the forum.
He got very upset when he was reminded of it a couple of years later.

A thoroughly good egg who's enhanced his reputation even further over the last week or so.
Wish him all the best.

FFS let it go - it's verging on embarrassing.
And call them dead wood or average players or players past their best, same difference really - but to include Wells, Tanner, King, OLeary, Weiman, maybe Williams and James.
If we want to progress further, we need a refresh..and not just the manager.
How long will you be keeping up this pretence of being postive about the club's strategy and liking the new manager? Because we all know that you'll be dying to scream for him to be sacked as soon as he loses a couple of games.

Yep but what will stop is King playing at all, Naismith playing as CH in a back 4, Williams and James playing as a midfield pair etc etc.
Poor tactical, developmental and technical decisions I would guess to Tinnion.
There will be a clear out of the famous "dead wood" for sure.
For the first time in about as long as I can remember, I don't think we have any obvious dead wood.

I wouldn’t be against James signing a one year deal with a to get replacement being bought it to share the load/take over. James plays ever game when fit which can’t be helpful in keeping him fit.
With Williams probably going, we need to learn lessons from when we tried to replace Pack and Smith in the last few days of a window at once! That ultimately cost LJ his job IMO.
Agreed. Though tbh I'm not sure he'll want to stick around even if we were to offer him something.

He's back in the Scotland U21 squad anyway.

All from the same person too.

Carl Hutchings. Now there's a player who looked like he should have been decent.
Looked like Ruud Gullit. That was where the similarity ended.

Mad innit.
The realisation dawned on me yesterday when I discovered that Manning will be the first City boss who's younger than me.

If you are banned, can you still read the forum but not allowed to post or banned from it altogether?
I was banned for a week (thanks Mark Carter...) and could still read and give reactions to posts, just not post anything.
Don't know if it's stricter for longer bans?

One of my big concerns is that him and Nige both have very different perspectives on the game.
Nige has been at an elite level. He knows what we were missing and what was required to get to that level.
Manning doesn't have that elite perspective. He's coming from League One. The step up is huge.
The quality of players is much higher and our facilities are much better.
Is he going to walk in and think wow all this is absolutely fantastic? Compared fo where he's come from?
He spent several years at West Ham, so I doubt it.

Remember Akinbiyi having a proper wrestling match with David Unsworth when we played Everton in the cup. Think both of them were booked.
Knew how to look after himself that lad.
