I doubt we will be wearing it a lot next season maybe only really 5/6 times.

Voted White (preferably with red trim).

Would probably have voted Black if we hadn't had it this season.

Not a staunch Purple and Lime fan but wouldn't mind it for the memories of Anfield.

Please God not Yellow and Green. Had it too many times and we're not ****ing Norwich!!

It will be white or yellow as we had black this year and these are the only colours in our palette.

I wouldn't mind an Inter Milan style black&blue striped affair but know I'll get shouted at for swearing :D

NOT WHITE! it's boring, predictable and most people already have a white shirt that rarely gets worn.

If not P&L then when we go up go for the Brazil strip (yellow shirt, blue shorts, green socks. Anyone yelling at the blue in this has no sense of humour.)

Just something different would be nice. Fed up with black and white 2nd and 3rd kits.

Why can't we have stripes or hoops or halves?

We better not have quarters!!! When was the last time city had a striped or hooped away shirt anyone??

We did have a striped second kit in the early 90's I believe. Was it green?

Some ghastly fluorescent green/yellow & purple/dark blue which we wore at Stoke if my memory serves me correctly.

Yeah, this is what I don't get! Our kit is red and white, the gash kit is blue and white. Nobody bats an eyelid that we have white in our kit, and yet as soon as a bit of blue gets mentioned as a kit colour, there's hell to pay!

I really don't get it, I'd quite like a sky blue with white (like Lazio or Argentina), but we always seem to end up with the same coloured shirts ie. Black, white or yellow!

From memory, didn't the Gash start out as the Black Arabs and play in Black with a yellow sash? If so, then that's another two colours ruled out for our pedantic fans. Why can't we be like Man United and where any colour we God damn please, after all, when I see them playing in blue, I don't think of Man City in the slightest.

Purple and Lime would be my preferred choice although Yellow and Green would be a nice change. Would take anything really as long as it werent White or Black as now had these colours 4 seasons running and are boring as others have said above.

36% for purple and lime? Nice to see people this poll seriously. :disapointed2se:

People are though, it would sell REALLY well, I don't see what the club is thinking?

Another white or black will just be like last few seasons and won't exactly 'fly' off the shelves!

Nice to see th gold 'sick' shirt proving popular, i remember getting 1 for a fiver at the end of the season and them having a complete shop full of them at the end of may, i wonder what happened to all of them?

Because at the end of the day - City wear red and rovers wear blue (regardless of the neutral white that goes with), so any kind of blue city kit is likely to be an alltime low seller.......

i voted black - will look classy as adidas.

What's wrong with blue?!?!?! The gash r in blue bla bla bla but if man utd have got away with it in the past I'm pretty sure we can.I voted other; black or White is borin and we won't be getting purple and lime.maybe were end up in gray like liverpool have in recent times???

Voted purple and lime. It's got to be brought back, unless they are waiting to bring it back for the opening of the new stadium!! :dancing6:

Seriously though, I see the clubs colours as red, white and black so a black away strip for me! i think black away strips are always smart, no matter what the design is. However I can see Adidas doing a white with red trimmings over black.

purple is horrible. Was speaking to some liverpool fans the other day, and when i said i was a city fan they said they remembered us beating them. They also said the purple kit was the worst kit they have ever seen

What about an Adidas version of this little number?rofl2br.gif

Show's how far we've come from having Grant Smith modelling it!

I was the best man for my mate at the end of that season, and my gift was that City shirt, signed and framed. Without wanting to sound ungrateful, they couldn't have chosen a worse shirt! Plus the only legible signature is Basso and Dave Partridge! It's still hanging on the wall mind...

On a personal note, I wouldn't mind blue.

Quite possibly the biggest game this club has been part of was the 1909 FA Cup final at Crystal Palace against Manchester United.

You may wonder where this is going, well let me tell you. Obviously both clubs wear red so something had to give. In fact, both clubs opted for a change kit. Man United wore a white jersey with a red V on it and Bristol City decided on BLUE, yes, BLUE!

So, I say lets wear a blue kit. Who cares about the Rovers.

Hopefully it will be something special, I can only afford to buy one jersey a season and its aways turn....unless its really awful.

Exactly - something people want to wear that looks good with anything else they wear and doesn't have people laughing/being sick/etc.

So no purple; I'd vote for a light colour as that makes a 3rd kit less necessary

Stripes/hoops/halves - don't know if that fits with Adidas' template, but why not? No blue, however bruce_h4h.gif .

Anyone suggesting blue go here - http://uk.answers.ya...02124755AAdEliM

Why are people being so narrow-minded when it comes to blue? City actually had blue in their kit (1894/1895) way before the Gash did, and likewise the Gash played in colours that City consider to be "great" ie. yellow/white/green/black (1883/1884) before us !! We even played in gold and blue at the old Wembley!

So, if City can't have any blue, then I guess we best ban anybody entering Ashton gate that have the slightest hint of blue in their trainers, socks, jeans, t-shirts, jackets, caps, contact lenses. Where does it stop? It's ridiculus to rule out opportunities just because.

I'm guessing these fans who don't want any blue, are the same kind that "Always vote labour/tory/green, because I was brought up that way", or "I never buy German cars" or "I've been to Margate on Holiday for that last 25years because it's what I do" - Get real people, open up to new ideas and you might even like some of them rather than being angry or stuck in your ways.

Contact Lenses? FFS, that's a bit niche, isn't it? What about eye colour?!?!?!?! Or pants???

Im getting bored of black and white but as long as it looks smart then I won't have any complaints, dark green would be a nice colour to have I think, I remember us having a really nice training shirt of it a couple of years back but I can't see that happening.

Hmmm..here's an argument against the purple and lime aberration, we'll be playing Scunny and Burnley next season, both wear claret so we'll need a 3rd kit if we go purple (please god, no).

Back in the days of the purple horror, we played West Spam and as we stood waiting for KO, we all wondered what kit City would wear. Red - no good, clash; ditto purple...and then they came out in ALL LIME GREEN

"Oh **** me, no" was the general reaction among the City fans...we lost 2-1 I think. And it rained.

Doesn't anyone remember the reaction when the purple kit was unveiled? I was at the Gate, and they parachuted (I kid you not) in guys wearing next season's kit. When the purple kit was revealed in all its horror, the crowd started a chant of "What the ******* hell is that?!?!?"

I think no purple. White, you know it makes sense, looks good with anything you wear and is classic but cool.

AND NO BLUE

Well with the world cup and Commonwealth games this year how about a white away kit with a red stripe from the hip to shoulder, and another red stripe from the wrist across the shoulder, neck to the other shoulder so it looks like a St.George. A Bristol city kit and England top all in one :englandsmile4wf:

Similar to the rugby kit here
