On a personal note I am going to promise never to abuse Ian Holloway ever again, if.....big if, his Blackpool team can do the impossible and stop Cardiff reaching the premier league tomorrow, I say impossible as they seem to be on a "special" journey to the promised land helped by the Wfa and the inland revenue.

So Mr Holloway groan this City fan good luck tomorrow.

This does confuse me!

As if IH will give a single moments thought to who Bristol City fans might prefer to go up, or even our rivalry with Cardiff or himself.

He will do everything in his power to win on Saturday, FOR HIMSELF and Blackpool, nothing else.

I for one would prefer to see Blackpool go up, but its out of our hands and i dont really care all that much!

Never forget how Hollowhead has refered to us in the past! He is a clown, who at times has been rather vile towards us as fans, and all things BCFC - and the feelings have been mutual. HE IS NO FRIEND OF BRISTOL CITY.

For however much id love to see Hollowead in tears of sadness come Saturday night, he doesn't compare to millions of Welshmen, and for that reason, i hope that the Blue tears shed after the Play off final, have a Welsh accent!

Yep, good luck to Holloway's team, Holloway is still a ***** and always will be, there is no forgiving what he has done in my eyes but a choice between him and Cardiff is an easy one to make for me. While Holloway may have been a cock a while ago Cardiff have always been cocks and a continue to be cocks until this very day.

come on holloway and blackpool! I reckon this is the highest "neutral" support in the history of british football for Blackpool in this game, I would pay good money for Cardiff to be beaten. If they do, they are bankrupt, and we can sign whittingham.

Obviously not a fan of IH, but along with Mr Wolf, I'm giving the ***** a pass for tomorrow, and tomorrow only. If Blackpool do win, and sadly my money is with Cardiff too, I can't wait to take the piss out of the Gash fans who are going to claim it as a moral victory. Man up gentleman, it's nothing to do with the Blue Few!

That is awesome.

Spending a lot of time in Cardiff I have a lot of associates on facebook that for 51 weeks of the year are avid man u, Liverpool and arsenal fans, all of a sudden it's wembley this and blooooobirds this, ffs I really hope Blackpool win tomorrow they as a town need it. Cardiff on the otherhand doesn't it's souless, generic and has no character the Premier League will fit nicely into the created, plastic shitehole of a town only too well, cmon the tangerines!!!!

The 40,000 inbred from over the river need stopping, and there's only 1 man (plus possibly 11 others) who can stop em. This must be achieved by whatever methods possible!

Its time to make those shrines, c'mon lets see em!

Face reality City Fans. Cardif are going to bury Blackpool tomorrow.

Just look at their record against us this season. Who can forget their demolition of us at AG in the league this season. OK the conditions that night were awful, but it was the same for both sides.

Chopra and Whittingham awesome. Sorry, it goes against the grain for any BCFC fan, but they are far superior.

please god. those we saw on our own glum crawl home hurt. a lot.

by the way, those that think Baadiff will prosper forever if they go up have forgotten one thing. Ridsdale. Take what he did at Leeds / Cardiff then add to the result for Hull & Portsmouth of going up and it all adds up to our desired result of Bluebird extreme pain within a few years whatever the result. Also dont underestimate the effect of Hamman and his cronies turning up to drink from the golden EPL money shower if they win.

lets face it, this tie is a living nightmare for us; Mortal enemy (convicted I love you owner plus idiot embarrassing Bristolian reinforcing the world view of us as country bumpkins) vs mortal enemy (celtic territorial and philosophical foe for the past few thousand years or so). Ideal result would be freak alien invasion of wemberley, that swooped down and abducted the lot of them, owners, players, fans, the whole sh1tty shooting match.

So I dont want either to win, but want Cardiff to lose.

I pray Cardiff don't go up. Getting away with what they have and do time after time unpunished. This would be the perfect punishment. No promotion, Malaysian buisnessman pulls out, £1.9m unpaid tax bill, 20 point deduction at the start of next season. For a couple hours today I am a member of the tangerine army. Tangerine army!

Rumours going around QPR fans have taken revenge for the 2003 fire alarm stunt by setting the alarm off 4 times last night were the Cardiff team were staying. :winner_third_h4h:

I'm at my wits end with this shit. Not for me to tell you what to delete or anything but the title of this thread is making this forum a laughing stock. Any chance someone could do something about it?

To what exactly?

Obviously you do not get tongue in cheek humour. I am no fan of Skelator (although I respect what he has done with little money and limited resources at Pool) and I'm pretty sure the shrine itself does not portray Ian in the greatest of light (in fact the Mrs thinks its pure evil). The shrine was intended as a joke, but if admin want to ban me then so be it!

Unlike many on OTIB I have nothing against Holloway at all. He's one of football's characters, adds a bit of colour to the game and is a proud Bristolian.

Maybe it's because I've been an exile for many years but Rovers are largely irrelevant as far as I'm concerned and what he said in the past was a long time ago. Life's too short to be bitter or hold grudges for years.

Good luck Blackpool today.

My vote was cast with a view of what's best for City next season.

I originally wanted Forest to go up as I thought they would be the biggest threat at the top of the table (yes, I am assuming we will be involed in a serious assault on promotion!).

I also thought that it might be good for Cardiff to stay down as they would probably be docked 10 points for going in to admin. Now that they appear to be getting out of the financial mire I would like to get them out of the way as I am sure they will be a force to be reckoned with next season if still in the Championship. If Balckpool stay down I can not see them being any sort of threat next season, reliance on team spirit is all very well, as soon as that falls apart (which it will - remember our season after the play off final) they do not have the resources or depth to maintain a challenge.

So, for the sole reason of what is best for BCFC I voted for Cardiff - making an already weakened Championship even weaker. And I think they will win - remember how Blackpool bottled it against us and squeaked in to the play-offs due to Swansea not winning.

It's PR last game today, his legacy will be one of delivering premier league football and a brand new stadium, it doesn't look bad on paper and shows that luck and good fortune plus some "strange" favouritism with the HMRC can pay off!

Who on earth voted for Cardiff??

Well one of them was me, my reasons are further up this thread - unlike many who simply hate Cardiff, I voted for what i think will be the best result for BCFC. So my question is - with next season in mind - why would anyone vote for Blackpool??

well if you read why Dato has said about his innvestment, it seems crystal clear that he will be giving them sweet fa unless they win today! He is a non executive director which means all his investment so far have actually been donations, if they fail today he will, IF he buys the club be bying it to asset strip and make some quick money, probably running it into the ground and leaving them in a worse state than they are now, there's one reason!!!!!

Sky have SC in the studio - Nice to see that hopefully the Palarse tie has been donated to the local Oxfam shop in Ascot? At least todays tie is Red and a small amount of white?

Move in the right direction Stevie boy.

"I would like to see the people calling us underdogs.... I don't see it that way"

Well Fair play Ian for the belief, but those people you would like to see - just imagine probably 95%+ of the football following public.
