Ryan_BCFC
Surely some buisness has to be done today ... Even if its players being shipped out.

eskay
Surely some buisness has to be done today ... Even if its players being shipped out. That is equally as worrying, the lack of players leaving the club. Come February we may well still be paying wages to a load of dead wood.
BCFCfan
Why do people think Millen is sitting in his office doing nothing? Nobody on here has any idea of what budget he has. Nobody on here has any idea whose available. This is not football manager. Its not easy without a pocket full of cash, which evidently, BCFC dont have in this window (first time in a long time). Im sure we will get someone before the end of the window, but i'd much prefer to sign nobody and get all our injured players back. if we can get Stead and Maynard fit we will be fine. If not, it'll be a close run thing no matter who might come in on loan.
Portland Bill
There's people on here who want a signing, it doesn't matter to them if there good, bad or plain shit, they just want a signing. These same people would offer an opinion before he's kicked a ball and all by judging him by his name and who he's played for before. Thankfully our manager isn't as stupid as these people and is trying to get the right player at the right price and in the right position. We have 9-10 players out injured including the best striker in this league. IMO signing someone for the sake of it is just plain daft.
BCFC_Dan
Just think for a moment about what Millen has to find here. He needs to find a player who: - Is better than what we have already - Plays a position where the squad is weak - Is in our price range in terms of wages - Wants to come to City - Is unattached or playing for a club happy to let him go Now think about the players we have. Which would you allow to go to other clubs for little or no fee? That's right, the ones who aren't good enough. But we don't want to sign players who aren't good enough, we want to sign players who are better than what we have. But somehow not wanted by their current clubs. And if their current clubs are at a sufficiently high level that their rejects are still better than our players then they'll be on wages we can't match. If Millen buys now he'll probably have to pay more than a player is worth and even then that player might not be up to it. If we signed Nicky Hunt now instead of last Summer, it would look initially like a good move but it'd soon transpire that it was a waste of money and everyone would be berating Millen for spending the club's money on useless players. It's a fine line and if all that's available is inadequate players then why spend the money?
BCFCfan
@portland bill & BCFC Dan Its a simple concept, why cant the majority understand it? Confuses the hell out of me.

And no doubt you are miffed that people keep going on about it but surely nobody wants us to sign someone who is no better than the brown stuff? After all, according to many, we already have plenty of that.
