westonred
Burnley are willing to offload Chris Iwelumo if they sign Charlie Austin from swindle and PNE are interested in taking the big centre forward. Surely it must be worth a bid seeing as he did so well and scored goals when he played for us on loan the other season...
'Orns
Was just going to start a thread on this Weston, has to be worth a phone call, done a cracking job for us last year
grove park city
Still looks a handful and can find the net with Stead now out a big target man is needed as what we have left have no real bully boy knock em off the ball attitude, there is no front player to win the ball in the air big chris fitted in well last season at least ask ?????? Martyn Hocking
it would be a tad ironic if we did bring big Chris back, given the way our last manager gets derided on here on a daily basis for his habit of signing 'too many' strikers on loan. A bit different with the current injury list one thinks.
SC_Red
I thought supply was the problem and we could have Rooney upfront and he still wouldnt score. Doesnt seem much point paying out for another striker unless we can be sure of solving the midfield problem.
DaveF
Would be a brilliant signing. As our tactic at the moment seems to be hit high balls up top despite not having a big man up front we'd be silly not to be in for him, especially if we can somehow get rid of Clarkson! CiderHider
Got the turning circle of an ocean liner, but a good target man.

Andrew_V1
Chris Iwelumo fitted our style of play PERFECTLY last season. I genuinely thought he should have been our number 1 transfer target in the summer. He's the best big man i've seen at championship standard, and was a massive upgrade on Big Dele. KM - Please bring him in, that way it will give steady a nice long recovery period so he can come back sharp.

Guest Eastend Fan
Millen would be MAD not to put in a offer to Iwelumo. Has got experience at this club over Preston and did very well in the short stint, liked by almost all the fans, and with our recent striker injuries, would be the perfect partener for Pitman/Maynard as proved before. Bring him in
Guest Eastend Fan
This could also save money in the long run as the need for a creative midfielder which are very hard to find, and expensive (Neil Danns) would drop drastically if we have a striker to hold the ball up
Somerset_Sam
all very well saying bring him in and i think we should have at least tried, but if he wants to stay in the north, he aint gunna come to us.
Superjack
If my memory serves me correctly (which is not guaranteed these days), didn't he not want to stay with us last season, which is more or less why we ended up with 'The Hoff'?
BCFC Jordan
He didn't want to stay with us as he felt he had an opportunity to play in the Premier League with Wolves still. He'd be great for us to be honest, I really rated him last season.

Slave to the rhythm
Can't understand why you are questioning Steve Lansdowns effort. I have been supportive of him up until now, but I get the feeling that he's not willing to throw any more of his money at the club. If we get the green light for the new stadium, things may change. Slave to the rhythm
If I got the money I still would not like to throw it away. If a small minded corrupted Russian money laundring machine asks for hundred of ooo of £ just to have a player on loan we just should say #### ### Hmmm.....for legal reasons, I have no idea who or what you are referring to. If we get the green light for the new stadium, things may change. Apart from about £10m a year just to keep us afloat! He's thrown a lot of cash at this squad, and look at what he has got for his money. If we could get Iwelumo on loan, then fine, but I'm not sure that SL would want to take on another large wage earner on a lengthy contract, at the present time. It was, now i feel we need to strengthen in both departments as teams will clock on to our plight and batter pitman leaving us no natural replacement (if he gets injured to), tiz true we need a hartley type player which benefited maynard.
