Deserved.

Looked like he was trying 5 times as hard as everyone elpse when he came on against Swansea.

Personally, I would have dropped Keogh. Didn't exactly look lie the messiah on tuessday so why should play in front of clarkson who, lets be honest, has never had a proper run in the team.

Is it five in midfield though?

DESERVED since when? Clarkson is shocking, should have played Piman and Keogh. Or Adomah and keogh with Sproule brouht in.

Appears KM's lost the plot for umpteenth this season!

I just wonder 'when will it end'.

Go ahead call me a numpty in 2 and a half hours, I would be delighted!

James; Carey, Caulker, Fontaine, McAllister; Adomah, Cisse, Elliott, Woolford; Clarkson, Keogh.

Subs: Stewart, Johnson, Gerken, Sproule, Nyatanga, Edwards, Pitman.

Something needed changing and Millen's being bold here. I like a strong manager that's not scared of making changes when things are on the slide. Only time will tell if it's the right choice.

Clarkson has something to prove and today may be make or break for him, so he'll be desperate to do well..

I think most people would have picked the same starting line up, apart from the front two.

Clarkson did work hard in midweek and Pitman was poor, however starting with a front two with 5 goals between them this season as opposed to Pitman's 11 on his own is certainly a gamble when we haven't scored in so long......

Cant grumble too much with that line up in all honesty. Pitman for me has been a bit poor for the last few games ( granted, the team as a whole have been and has had a lack of creativity), but im talking about touch and work rate. Also a nice option to have to bring on with tired defenders and hopefully the bit between his teeth to prove the manager wrong. Regards Cisse, i think he deserves his chance, has looked mostly like a good player from the cameo's he has had. Come on you reds!!!

Millen will not get credit for anything from some of our "supporters".

He certainly deserves it for some original tactical thinking instead of going for more of the same; a good sign. But by the same token from some he gets the credit when things go well but not the blame when they go badly. I would prefer a more balanced view from both sides of the argument. The need now is for consistency. We must stop swinging between clean sheets and dreadful defending. With injuries today's was probably the best defence we can put out at the moment and standing up under pressure for once seemed as important as the contribution of Clarkson et al. Let's keep it up. :fingerscrossed:

I'm glad that Clarkson did well today and in a new role.

To be honest Albert has flattered to deceive recently. A lot of his tricky runs just fizzle out and there is too often not much of an end product. May be he would be more effective coming on late in the game to add some pace. Perhaps a spell as sub may sharpen him up, who knows.

Anyway after today (admittedly against a poor side) we seem to have found a much stronger midfield as per the second half line-up, with a creative goal scoring midfielder in DC and a powerful and skillful front three in Woolford, Keogh and Pitman.

I hope that against Leeds KM starts with the second half formation played today (but with Louis of course and not Edwards) and see how we go from there.

I said on another thread the other day that it seems quite clear to me that AA is carrying an injury, not that many will give him any leeway on that, I haven't seen anyone mention Skuse playing with a broken toe for weeks affecting his performances, some would just prefer to criticise our whole squad.

This isn't aimed at you btw Frenchay.......

You may be right on this. I know he has been more tightly marked in recent games but he seems to be flagging a bit and not managing the amazing bits of skill we were getiing used to.

If we have a good alternative line up, as per the 2nd half today, he will have time to fully recover and get back to his best.

Hopefully we will be doing so well he may have to wait a while to get a start again.

In KM we trust! :fingerscrossed:
