Buzsaky / Baldock (+ A Little Bit Of Gerrard) .... Merged

I dont want him...

If he is SO against joining us then they can keep him.

The damage of having someone with a sh!t attitude can do to a team could counter any skill he brings to the table. Not saying he will definitely resent being here, but the chance of it happening seems to strong to risk it.

Exactly him and Buzsaky can jog on.

It's a shame our wage bill is so high, if we could of shipped out the deadwood (easier said then done) I would of loved to have signed both Wilson and Bikey, would of improved our back 5 ten fold just imagine...

-------------------- HEATON --------------------

WILSON---------BIKEY-------------------FONTS---------CUNNINGHAM

We'd have plenty of cover also with Foster able to play both RB and LB if need be, Wilson can also cover CB, Carey can cover RB and CB etc...very versatile setup we would have.

Just a shame we're paying the price of our previous managers mistakes of signing deadwood on big contracts (step forward Mr Stewart)

Although Del has proven to be shrewd in the transfer market so i'm sure he has a few ace's up his sleeve yet!

I like that. Although I'm wary of past clubs stating Amougou is a different player once on a permanent deal, for a club with fans like ours he could become a fans favourite due to his nature. Wilson looks a very tidy player, steady, reads the game very well and looks keen to retain possession.

Trees grow trunk upwards, an that would be a very championship capable foundation.

I don't want any player who's heart isn't here

Think that sums the situation up completely.

It is known that City and W Ham have agreed a deal. That would then release the player to speak to the club. This 2 weeks ago.

Then the player says publicly he wants to stay in London.

That being the case do we really want him him without 100% commitment to our cause?

I think not

Im not sure Baldock is quite as good as everyone is making out.....Less than 1 goal in 3 at league 1 level, and nearly 1 in 5 at championship level.....both at top teams in their respective leagues.

Saw him against WH and he was anonymous, granted that was just one league game, but i get the impression he is a bit of a flat track bully, he needs to be playing in a slick, passing, attacking side otherwise he is going to virtually useless.

Imagine him in our side last season? Generally long ball with little movement.....to fit a player like Baldock into our side we really need to be playing with a certain way.

Would prefer Steven Davies, a more allround footballer and a class act at this level.

We seem to forget that Baldock signed a three year Contract with Wham in only Agust last year for 1.6 million ( and the salary that goes with it) That included an option of another year.....If baldock doesnt want to leave Wham thats his perogative and Big Sam cant do jack s about it.... Baldock is only honouring his side of the deal...Furthermore the Wham fans are most vociferous at letting their manager know what they think and if Baldock keeps knocking them in in freindlies and reserve games it will be difficult to ignore him...Why would any self respecting player want to come to City for less money when he has the opportunity to play in the Premier League (or not play as the case may)when he can sit it out on 15 k a week.? Unless he is a complete idiot of course. I would have thought if he was coming he would be here by now and settling into the squad and playing in the pre season games...on off on off on off ...worse than Burton and Taylor. (thats Richard and Elizabeth of course.) The stumbling block to Baldocks move to City either a loan or permanently would be his salary and his agent...nothing more. If he does come we will know that the owners have backed Del and splashed the cash which we havent got.!

Time to give up on Baldock as well? This the lastest from "Knees Up Mother Brown"

The same mate that told me about Morrison leaving last week just texted me that Baldock had a medical scheduled for Monday followed by a meeting on the subject of personal terms in Bristol. On Sunday night he expressed his wish to the staff that he wants to stay at the club but if they don't want him, he wants to go on loan for a year to a club in London. He will not leave the club permanently this transfer window.

I've been told the Bristol City deal is off because Baldock didn't want to move out of London - but he's spoken with Crystal Palace (who were after him while at MK Dons) and is very close to a move to Selhurst Park.

??????????????????????????????

Apologies, didnt see Ciderup,s post

What I heard was that Baldock was quite interested in moving to us, but his WAG was dead set against it. Source is my mate whose mate works with a relative of one of the staff.

So that's bound to be spot on.

Personally, and no disrespect to the fairer sex, I would rather we did not have a player who is under the thumb of his Mrs. I mean, lets face it, he is probably the overwhelming bread winner and he should be a man and tell her to put up and shut up.

On the other hand the story sounds like a very good yarn !!

As this thread about us signing players is pointless......how do you get the background pic on twitter to look like it does on the bcfctweets page, and not tiny, or tiled like mine is?

May as well get some use out of this thread.....

"We've had no bids in for [any of the players] speculated about," manager Derek McInnes says at press day. #BristolCity

I take that to mean we have recieved no bids for Albert and Yannick. Nothing to do with our bids for players. People really need to calm down before they throw their rattles out of their prams

I live in hope that somewhere in this mess there might be a grain of fact that is reported, however there has been nothing, nothing at all, it just consists of mostly those that are trying to look a bit 'clever' in hoping that we sign someone they have mentioned. Which includes virtually every footballer either with a club or looking for a club, and then for some reason dialogue and arguments about these players are had as to the benefit (or not) to the club. However these players had no intention in joining City.

Bit sad really.

.

Who are you to judge what makes someone 'sad'. This is obviously a rumours thread and there are loads of us who like to comment and speculate. If you want facts, why be on a forum that, by it's nature, is based on opinions. Stick to the news channels or official site. Lastly you criticise people who write things claiming they know what's going on and then in the same breath state, quite categorically that they had no intention of coming here. And you know this how? Rant over. Just leave us to speculate in peace.

Yes it was, he was way too big for this club, I remember being at the Swindon vs Newcastle match when he came on as sub for the geordies, his first match, they didn't know what a gem they had, I had to tell a few.....Oh! and City beat Brum 1.0 away that day...far more important than anything else.

He was a nobody. He was a young gooner, rotting in their reserves, we plucked him and got him in the limelight. Without our 'gamble' of £500k on a nobody, he may never had been fully discovered.

A true big time charlie refusing to train. And for him to openly state bcfc was the worst thing he ever did was shocking. I loved watching him but cant stand the bloke for such a joke statement!!

Load of hammers on twitter saying Baldock has now left west ham and signing for City, more of the ITK lot but seems more definite now

Baldock has left #WHUFC.

We agreed a fee with Bristol City for Sam Baldock, hence why he has left. Good luck to the lad #COYI

Proper confirmation on the website may come tomorrow, seen as it is half 10 at night #COYI

@Agent_WHU: We have now agreed a fee with Bristol City for the transfer of Sam Baldock. We wish Sam all the best with his future.

This guy has been pretty accurate and early with WHam news today. Fingers crossed it's nearing a conclusion...

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but with del saying that 1 or 2 want to come to city but there are other factors delaying things ( inferred I know, not a direct quote) I wonder if he was trying to put to bed the rumours that baldock didn't want to leave London for brizzle?

Yes, and maybe the week before that to. Terms agreed with him at least 4 or 5 times and he's signed for 3 other clubs in and around London

In Dels interview on Rad Bristol earlier he said "there are two players who are very keen on coming to BCFC but sometimes its not always up to the player", so that could imply that WHU hadnt agreed a fee at that time altho Baldock wanted to come ?

Club can give player permission to talk but then they commence negotiations over fees etc, do MK Dons have a sell on?

Cancelling the £1M they owe us + working out % fees to MK might not be that easy! Accountants slow things down!

I wouldnt go with this whole, west ham owe us money so it means we would get sam cheaper. Transfers im sure are contracted, and completely separate transactions. We aint trading conkers with our mates now.

We want to speculate and you don't want to read about speculation - its pretty easy just don't read the thread, you and me both know 4 or 5 threads will pop up when he does sign!

Link to comment

Actually I have quoted facts on this thread, thus helping it from the depths of utter speculation and b/s about players we will never sign...we did have Andy Cole, Carry on with you and yours fantasy players games if that rocks your boat...Oh! look there are some more threads on players that will never sign for us :bored:

Just keep off the thread if you don't like it. How hard is that?

Disagree,if we sign him this I believe will be the main reason why,

Nope wrong again.....if we sign him and I hope indeed we do it will be because his agent has agreed a workable salary package with Baldock commensurate with what he is on now....The fee wont come into it....Its Baldock we have to Satisfy sufficiently for him to want to terminate his contract not WHU...If he does sign he will be our highest paid player unless hes taken a massive pay cut !
