Buszaky apparently is to sign for Leeds as rumours are he scored in a trial game last night...

Shame but he has played for Warnock before...

Leeds under Warnock will defo be a threat..

I don't see anything printed anywhere that leads me to think we were ever in for Buszaky.

Rumour and counter rumour becomes de facto fact and then posters get all irate that we lost out on the player....when in all probability we never even made an enquiry.

Del is very good, it seems, at keeping his transfer dealings very much under wraps and I for one like it that way.

Definitely, pretty much all his signings were announced on the day the media got a sniff, hey Anderson they didn't even find out about until hid father found out.

Got to hope these two he talks about come off, or the wait will go on even longer into the season.

I am seriously hoping Carey recovers for Saturday.

How is there a combined total of 89 pages on transfers that aren't likely to take place!! We all do talk some c*ap!

Take away all the posts about this pointless thread and there are only 46 pages.

And here lies the problem.

Time and time again we get all this bull, speculation and BS.

i was hopeful that that as a thread title had been created to encapsulate all of the transfer speculation that a forum user could just ignore it if they wanted to. But unfortunately no, numerous threads were allowed to appear, for various strange reasons.

I suppose it does keep the forum ticking over but after years of witnessing the same old carp it is somewhat wearing.

Happy to wait for Official Club Announcements when the signing is confirmed.

Nothing will change though.

Moussa Konate recieved his work permit today allowing him to sign for WHU hopefully they will now let Baldock come to us

or Charlton, or Watford, or .....................................................................................................

I thought Chris did Ok, and would be one of two strikers I think we will try and sign. Not sure what people expected when we were playing backs to the wall stuff, but he is a young lad, and fitted in well , and provides a different option.

What is the option than he provides ?

We need a good cb Imo. That I think is prio 1. Caulker, Amougo have done very well for City. A player in that caliber would be perfect for City. The defence is the most important when you build a team. If not we can sign a new cb, hope Wilson can be the one. Celtic- Wilson is rb as I understands it.

The £12mn that Moyes got for Rodwell is likely to be spent on a new striker and right wing which apparently frees up Apostalos Velios for loan - he is big, young and reasonably quick - but quite similar to Wood in style...but we may be in with a shout...

Lets just be content with ghe strikers weve got for now and see if taylor and pitman can make a name for themselves.

If pitman and stead score 5-7 goals in the first 9 games then everyone will be saying sod it we dont need another striker.

Im dissapointed we couldnt get baldock but its not the end of the world is it?

I honestly think we will be fine.

Yeah we definitely need another striker.

If anything happened to either Brett or Stead then we would be left with one of them and Taylor who hasn't had much luck with injuries and for all we know not good enough? It would be a big ask for him to fire in the goals to keep us safe. Although when I have seen him he has looked decent.

Baldock will be off... But Charlton or Watford is my guess..

Or it could be a double striker signing.. But we could well lose.......... Pitman

Convinced our best chance of getting a quality striker lies with Stephen Dobbie. He's clearly not wanted by Swansea, is on less money per week than Campbell, wont necessarily have to move home and he's Scottish. Come on Del, use the funds you receive for Yannick plus the wages that have been freed up with him jumping ship and get this boy in before Tuesday !

As it now looks like the Baldock deal may be going through would this send out enough af an "ambition" signal to force the likes of Buzsaky / Amougou to consider signing on??

What an off-season that would be.

3 months we've waited for Baldock, so shows Del will wait for his man. As Buszaky, Amougou and even McManus haven't signed elsewhere yet, I wouldn't rule them out.

Whu dont want to sell until a replacement has signed basically if moussa kanote is granted a work permit for west ham baldock will be a Bristol city player

I live in hope that somewhere in this mess there might be a grain of fact that is reported, however there has been nothing, nothing at all, it just consists of mostly those that are trying to look a bit 'clever' in hoping that we sign someone they have mentioned. Which includes virtually every footballer either with a club or looking for a club, and then for some reason dialogue and arguments about these players are had as to the benefit (or not) to the club. However these players had no intention in joining City.

Bit sad really.

Pitman has scored more goals in a single Championship season at the age of 24, than Campbell has at the age of 30. Oh and that was with Pitman being on the bench for 75% of those games.

Nonetheless, whether Pitman stays or goes, I don't think we need another striker and definitely not a 'big name' one who'd expect to start. We need to give the 4/5 we've got time to bed in, try to find the best partnership and ensure they all get enough game time. Competition for place is great but we don't want to go back to having a massive squad again - especially as there's arguably 3 areas where we still lack quality/cover. It'd be far better to address those I think...

we don't need another one I agree but I'm just using my last post as an example,

any squad in the world of football need 4 good strikers I think we have four all in a different mold,

Stead the work horse target man who will run himself ragged chasing lost causes and holding up play

Taylor the old fashioned english centre forward like Crouch and Carrol you can lunch the ball long to him and he will trap it and will give you 10 goals a season

Davies the tricky striker with a locker full of skills and a great dead ball

Baldock the fox in the box a small pacey striker who likes to play on the shoulder of the last man and beats the offside trap

thats the reason Pitman will leave I don't think we need him we have a striker we need for all situations

WOW DJ has played in the prem so on that bases if you had a choice between lets say Jordan Rhodes and Patrick Agyemang you would choose Patrick Agyemang because he has played in the prem ... brilliant

It was a clever move by the club to push the Baldock deal through. Whoever was stalling, whether it was WHU or Baldock himself got a boot up their arse when they heard we had a bid accepted by QPR for Campbell.

Baldock, Stead, Pittman, Taylor and Davies is already too many strikers to have on the books when we have such a wage structure as ours. Expect one to leave, not another sign!!!

I dont think we need another CM now as we have Skuse, Elliott, Killkenny, Morris and Pearson plays in there sometimes...... but to be honest I dont really like Killkenny as everytime he plays he cant string a pass more then 5 yards and seems to just shout at every one else for no reason.... hopefully he goes!

Gerrard at CB would be awesome tho, becus unfortunatly Careys still are best CB which is not good really as hes 105 years old and not gunna last forever(all-tho still a legend mind)

Most clubs need four strikers and lets all be honest the other four are a classy outfit.

Stead and Taylor almost cert to start sat but what about having Davies and Baldock on the bench.

That really is something else
