What If?

Imagine if both Swindon and Bristol City were to meet in the Div 2 playoff final on some Sunday around May 2004.

Now imagine if the day before this game the Div 3 playoff final consisted of Oxford V. Bristol Rovers.

All this in the wastelands of Cardiff.

Can't help thinking what potential trouble could develop should City/Rovers/Swindon/Oxford/Cardiff all have a jolly in the City centre.

Another good reason to want automatic promotion!

Why would we be interested in Swindle or Oxford? They're hardly local derbies.

The only thing notable about either club is that they are relatively convenient to get to along the motorway - but if the game was in Cardiff then that wouldn't matter.

Personally I can't see either the Gas or Swindle making the play-offs anyway. And City and Gas fans would travel up on the day because it's so near, so they wouldn't be around together to fight anyway.

If they wanted to organise a ruck, they could do it in Bristol far easier. It'd be more convenient for travel - and Cardiff is one of the few places where they are likely to get even worse treatment than at Bristol's hospitals.
