myol'man
Millwall will take 50k plus if given They only took 22k to the final in 2004 Cockney w***kers http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/police-blame-the-fa-for-uneven-cup-final-ticket-allocation-6170490.html
havanatopia
Millwall will take 50k plus if given They won't and they wouldn't. As for the OP... absolutely great news on two fronts in my view:- 1. The one this thread is about 2. Conversely a big confidence knock for Blackburn. I happen to think both clubs will continue to slide and be looking over their shoulder for a while yet. After we secure safety It would be the cherry on the cake to see KFC going down.

Yep, about as inspiring as walking in the rain for an hour and actually, thinking about it, that would be more fun. £53,546 and only because there will be cheapy offers. sglosbcfc
I think the FA will be sweating, cup semi finals should be played at Neutral grounds. Wigan v Millwall at Villa Park would be a 40,000 sell out, Wigan v Millwall at Wembley I would guess Wigan will sell 20,000 maybe 25,000 as their fans will think they will win, Millwall might sell 25,000 maybe 30,000 because it is local. Wembley will certainly not be full.
Cambridge Batch Red
Semis at wembley are a pathetic money spinner for the FA to pay for the abomination that is the new wembley. Completely devalues the cup.
MarcusX
Agree completely! Having the semi's at Wembley takes the fun out of the prospect of a cup final day out, if you get to the final you've already had one day out at Wembley!

They have taken that to Wembley before so no reason why they cant this time. if they beat Wigan they are guaranteed a place in the Europa league next season as they other finalist will already have been allocated a European spot. cant see Wigan taking more than 30,000 though. Red-Robbo
Good news for me. Means I'm 90% certain of winning my mate's FA Cup predictor competition. £195 kerching! First time I've ever cheered on the cockernee knuckle-draggers.
Roger Red Hat
The main reason the cup is devalued is because the league is the 'be all and end all' for clubs, it's where the bread and butter is. And personally speaking I've no interest in going to Wembley, I think it's crap.
Super
For me the FA Cup died when the final was moved to a 5.15 kick off.

Other part timers/mates mates etc likely to come to this one. Still 22k is an awful effort, We'd take twice that to the moon if we played a major final there.... Which makes our average home attendance painful reading to be honest.

chalky
8k odd for a FA Cup quarter final is pretty poor whether or not the team you are playing are in the same division and you have probably played them twice already this season. Having said that, from watching the highlights of the first game at the Den it looked like Blackburn had sold out their allocation...
