I am never one to label someone and certainly you will not catch me using the word 'hate'; what does it ever achieve in life other than angst, tension and, well, more hate. Who needs that.

Ian Holloway may have spouted some nonsense in the past, we all have, but he was younger and it was, as he says, banter. There is a line that should never be crossed but also we should all stop and think sometimes before we say something and ask the question 'is it really necessary' ? What does it do, hidden behind a computer keyboard, other than to perhaps pump the ego chest?

I always find the guy entertaining, I see no point in 'hating' anyone or 'anything'. Some people ought to try it sometime; its actually quite rewarding.

Holloway clearly cares about our plight, I genuinely believe that. He did not need to come out and say anything but he did and, for the record, he should be considered a better man for it by those who gave him no slack whatsoever.

Of course we can still say we do not want his team to get promoted but, for me at least, thats not because of him its because its Palarse.

To me it sounds like a pop at City and also a pop at Cardiff about their kit and badge change (which is fair play of course). Funny he didn't mention the attitude of Bristol Rovers players. Bookies second favourites to be promoted and one of the largest budgets in the division and yet they are in the bottom half having spent most of the season in the bottom two.

Not really to bothered by Holloway and his comments. But as the bloke who ditched Plymouth , after saying what a great club and supporters they had and how they were his type of people , it's a bit rich to read his comments about spirit at a football club.

Bloke is a dick. He can spout all the clap trap he likes. Having been on the end of a foul mouth rant I will keep my own opinion of him. And that won't be changing.

Bloke is a gobshite, who should know how to behave better around kids.

He has a dig at us in the last paragraph.

His final paragraph is spot on though!

He's a complete **** and I'm embarrassed for Bristol every time I hear his idiotic voice spouting nonsense in the media.

Let's face it, if he was ex-City rather than ex-Rovers, we'd all be shooting trouser custard at the very mention of his name...

Totally agree, people seem to lap up his comedy genius whenever he's interviewed. Cock of the highest order....

It's hard to judge his record tbh, he's done very decent at times and very crap at times. Took Leicester down to 3rd tier for first time in history, put that lot on other side of town in a hole after blowing top 6 from abrilliant position season before. He steadied ship at QPR, did amazing to get Blackpool up and have them competiting in PL before walking out and good work at Plymouth. Palace he seems to have possibly blown a playoff place depending on final few games from a great position. He does talk some crap though, but at same time we have invested badly. Not a great fan of him on balance.

Hollowhead is a City hating buffoon.

He 'cares about our plight' in the same way any City hating gashead cares about it - he'll be laughing his hollow, skeletal head off!!

Palace had a fanstastic chance at promotion this season. Under the guidance of Holloway that chance has evaporated. Well done Holloway. Proper Job.

How has their chance evaporated they are nailed on for the play offs.

Had Palace kept Dougie Freedman, it might have been them rather than Cardiff at the top. Holloway has come along and ****** it all up. Freedman has dragged Bolton into the play offs. There is no way on earth, holloway could have done the same at Bolton.

Spot on imo.

Im sorry OP but I think it's naive to believe that any Gashead wishes the best for Bristol City.

They talk the talk of course, like before the Hull Play Off final when they were all saying that it would be good for Bristol to have a team in the Prem (just in case we did it) but the reality is that Dean Windass will be just as much a permanent fixture in Ollys 'wankbank' as he is for those scruffy looking Gypsies on that Tote End Reunion video.

Because they were nailed on for auto promotion months ago, have a player on loan from Man Utd that has lost form since he signed for them. This seasons Cardiff!

I would add, ranting at someone who still hasn't learnt to fully write, let alone learned how to get on the internet, find a forum, sign up and post, is a tad different... Dave. May give you a inkling of what I meant.

I always thought that this was more an age thing, someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought that those that were around when Holloway played for Rovers have a stronger resentment toward him than those that only know him as a manager

The blokes a tosser. He tried to make it sound as though Palace were huge underdogs. Brighton for all their good football have been in the Championship for two years whilst Palace have been either there or the Prem for years and years! Their team also has possibly the best player in the league who has been signed for 10 million pounds, honestly he's just a turd with shite for brains.

I call that good psychological management. He does it a lot as do other successful managers. You also fail to appreciate they went virtually bust, some would say they went all the way, after their last prem adventure. So many of you lot get hung up on his teasing; you need to grow up a bit in my opinion and take some of the stupid vitriol out of the conversation. Life is too short for all that nonsense. Try a bit of love and understanding, as I have said before, you might actually like it.

Amazed your Mods allowed tbh.

I'm amazed you're still here, haven't you got bigger fish to fry ( or sheep to molest ) there wasn't any inference that Hollowhead was a peadophile, as much as I agree he is a gas ****, I wouldn't not delete an accusation of kiddy fiddling against anyone.

Love how people bite on a clear wind up ...in essence most fans are jealous wen Holloway has success (as hes a gashead) n revel in it wen he fails (as he's a Gashead). Standard football fan behaviour, I certainly aint gna 'love' the guy but hes done a great job at palace so I say fair play n not much else !

Gary Glitter use to do a funny dance, he was a pr*ck aswell ;)

So that is how low some of my fellow city supporters will go.

I am ashamed.

I'm on my phone and was intending to report it but the icons aren't very obvious. Believe me, I don't like comparing anyone to a paedophile.

I don't mean to piss on your moral bonfire of righteousness but nobody actually called Holloway a paedophile...you were the one who brought up Gary Glitter's sexual preferences. Whatever 'Tinnion for England' meant, all he actually said was that they both dance like tits and he doesn't like either of them.

I didn't say he had called Holloway a paedophile. Can't you read?

So why did you try and report him.... that would be my question. You tried to report him for calling gary glitter and skeletor a *****?

I said that he COMPARED Holloway to Glitter, which he did. If I compared you to Ian Huntley, Adolf Hitler or Gary Glitter I suspect you would find the inference objectionable. I would. Banter is banter but that is sick.

You come on here to wind people up and you just can't take anything back.

So my question is, why do you bother posting?

Not from me, my lover. I disassociate myself from that rubbish. Would you like to make clear that that you don't see Glitter and Holloway in the same light?

Why should I, oh moral crusader, when I didn't make the initial comparison? Why not set up a poll or something?

Let us get back on track - Holloway is as anti-City as they come, so I wish him nothing but failure.

He pretends he's stupid sometimes and sometimes he actually is stupid but a lot of what he says is very calculated to promote the career of Ian Holloway eg. him sniffing around City when England had the bid for the World Cup and it looked like we might get Ashton Vale as a World Cup venue.

Nice little earner for him being on Telly commentating and preparing the path for a career in TV Football Punditry.

I admire the way he inspires quite ordainary players to play above that level for him

but

The comments made over the years - and it's not hard to find them - show that he hates City as only a Gashead can.

Therefore I return the complement
