We are draw specialists and that is the way it will end. Not really on great form currently, manager confused as to who he should play, players confused as to how they should play and playing against our former player who is bound to get something out of the game.

Line up will be a big tell take of how game will go. Play el abd in a back three and we will lose. In fact play him at all and we will lose.

We must play with width and attacking intent or we will constantly be on the back foot. Burns must play more than 30 minutes. Jet must be dropped as his heads not in it, nor his legs, nor anything. He's an enigma atm.

Final prediction after all that waffling, 1-1 at the most

One slightly weird thing this season is that so far we have played 6 teams twice in the league and out of that have 3 double defeats (Brent, Wolves, Cov), 2 double draws (MK, bradford) and 1 double win (Carlisle).  So if this pattern continues it'll be a draw.

 

I'll go 2-2

 

One thing today is Sheff U and Shrews are playing each other so if we lose are definitely back in the bottom 4 :-(

Cunningham took a few knocks on Tuesday so I hope he is still carrying one. Otherwise, to drop him to accomodate El Bad is an awful decision!!

 

I don't think wet windy days are made for JET so maybe he is better off on the bench. I'll be interested to see how Burns gets on.

I'm glad he's made changes but why has Cunningham been dropped? He was awesome against Cov. Glad we have gone 4 at the back with El-Abd central at last.

Hope this is the kick up the arse JET needs but fail to see why he can't do a job left of a 3 up top if Barnett can.

Great to see Burns start though. Completely deserves it and I'm excited to see what he can do from the start.

^^ I posted a few days ago saying I hoped we would play this team. I know the back 4 is slightly different with AEA and Williams in but mainly quoting to say I hope our front 6 are set up to play like this.

I can only assume Cunningham isn't 100%, he was pretty knackered by the end in midweek but if he was fully fit today definitely should have started over Williams.

El-Abd is now being picked in his natural position so let's hope we see his Brighton form.

Surprised Reid is back in but happy with the formation and rest of the XI.

I don't see why people are questioning this?  We moaned for him to play 4 at the back and to try at least 2 upfront. Today he has done that and has also dropped jet instead of accommodating him to the detriment of the team.

 

Let's see how we fair with this set up and wait until after the game to criticize yea.

Exactly why I call it a gamble. People have ranted for Burns to start and Barnett to start instead of JET so let's see if they're embarrassed at the end of it because IMO i wouldn't have started either o them. Will be delighted if I'm proven wrong

Did anyone see the preview of this game on Sky's FL72? I saw it in the pub but without sound. There was a lot of Little Lee and Our Jon...

Interesting to see that Kusunga and Clarke-Harris are on the bench for Oldham as I thought they looked their best two players earlier in the season.

 

This Wilson fella must be useful to put Kusunga on the bench.

Personaly i would swap el-abd for Cunningham, and put Cunningham left-back and switch williams to centre back

Dont think its such an issue. JET hasnt been outstanding the last three games so Barnett deserves a chance, as does Burns..
