cityexile
Crawley draw 2-2. 4 shots to MKs 17. Have to take that one on the chin - would have been very happy with that before the game. 96th minute. Booking Carl Baker (MK Dons) is shown the yellow card for excessive celebration. 90:00 +6:09 Booking Booking William Grigg (MK Dons) is shown the yellow card for excessive celebration. Other than that, just the perfect day. First time 4 in the league, first time we have won at home by more than one since 14 September. Others now dropping points. If worried by anyone is the chasing pack I suppose it is Sheff Utd, but 15 points clear of them feels a lot.

Spike
In a way the MK result is good, it puts more pressure on Swindon as a win from MK Dons in their game in hand puts them equal on points but they are still 3 points behind us, had they lost Swindon would have felt a little more secure so all in all we're still 3 points clear of Swindon with same games played and six points above MK Dons with them having a game in hand. I think the results today were great, we start building some points up again and Swindon and MK Dons fight it out to stay in 2nd, suits me. cityexile
You'd have said MK was an away banker, especially with no keeper for 3/4 of match so can't be too disappointed with that Indeed. We know away at Crewe it is never easy, but playing a team in the bottom four anything other than a win represents dropped points. As far as you can tell from the stats is was all MK, so just got to be very pleased with that,
cityexile
Maybe rather oddly, only the second time we have won three in a row in the league this year.
cityexile
Cotts "Game was as comfortable as it sounded. Goals were fantastic, good movement. Got goals at key times, but also at times we looked like we have had a long week. Third goal settled us down again. Hours and hours spent on bus in last week, so pleased to have a home game. JET was first class. His work rate today was great, why I pick him out as our best player. Nice that Matt did not get all four today, as good team performance. Not interested in what Swindon do. It is about what we do. Got a good chance. Osbourne, nice to see him on there. Not a bit of fun, had a job for us to do, important to have another header. Fit and able, and had no other striker! Would not say if anybody could be back for Tuesday. Enjoyed the banter with the crowd. Finds it a little embarrassing, but creates a good atmosphere". bucksred
****** good result for City, we have put ourselves in the driving seat and we need to kick on and win the title...there is no reason why we cant do it. Full credit to JET for fully justifying the hype, and if he keeps it up, Wilabraham and Aygard will struggle to get back in. Another goal for Matt Smith who really is a shit player aint he. Well done everyone at City, the most impressive performance of the season No negatives at all about todays performance. samo II
The goals Anyone else notice the fact that in celebrating the first goal, Elliott makes the effort to go up to JET and celebrate/speak with him? Much is made of how divisive JET's application/talent ratio is, but would love to have a candid view on his contribution from the likes of our captain, as clearly he is keen to see the lad do well from that. Aizoon
Awesome stuff from Jet. I love the dummy shot just before the pass for the first. What amuses me, though, is the defender trying to knock him off the ball before the fourth - he simply bounces off
havanatopia
To those who braved the inclement weather this past week to take and upload new photos of the South Stand I would like to show my appreciation; for anyone not able to do so especially those overseas it is always one of the first pages I take a look at. Please keep those image updates coming. Whether it was 1862 or 1865 or perhaps another date we welcome the oldest league club to Ashton Gate this weekend. Without sounding too mean spirited Notts County have had a fairly average season of results so far and from what I have seen and read they may fall short of the play offs come May; They have been a team that is not so much inconsistent but predictable in their yoyo sort of existence in this league.. I know that sounds a bit like an oxymoron and actually it is but hopefully if you look at their results and the fact they are well known for it you will understand why i said it. Last season a late penalty from JET, again coming off the bench, secured a comeback for City after Wilbraham had equalised earlier in the game. 1-2 was the result at Meadow Lane back in late August. At 5pm we should have 3 points in the bag should we not? Play our usual game, do what we have been doing for 90% of the season so far, and with hard work on the pitch and great support off it going back to the top should be ours to celebrate later today. 3-1 seems like a fairly typical prediction by many, me included, but it has not happened that many times this season, only three in fact. But I will go with that today. Will either of our two injured strikers be available? I see JET and Smith starting regardless and can only see more goals from the latter, one from JET and one from Flint. UTC Oh and not forgetting 'Je suis Charlie'. Hmmm... thats kinda weird.. that graph has changed since i first posted it which had us in First... Live feed from the site? lets keep an eye on it; by the weekend it will show us in second when, in fact, we will be back to first Edited January 15, 2015 by havanatopia
