The Official Bristol City v Wolverhampton Wanderers Match Day Thread

Had a bit of baby sick come up when Wolves pressed right at the end. So pleased we won that. Can't believe in typical fashion other teams by us also picked up points but as long as we can keep plugging away its helping close the table up nicely. Come on lads, another big effort for Bolton now before the break, would be great to get back to back wins.

Yes and no. The bottom three all lost.

Dons and Preston won though. :grr:

Would rather they had drawn, but they beat Charlton and Forest. Really worried we would lose, and hence some ground to somebody. As happens, their wins mean we end up gaining ground on the other two. Massive win.

Does not feel like it after Fulham, but also worth noting our third clean sheet in five games. That really is encouraging, and the first time Kodjia has scored and we won!

Pretty remarkable stat that is... Hope its banished for good now.

Fraid not.. I want to see a photo of your burned season ticket please. Come on ... Do it for the good of City, see the bigger picture. Be a humanitarian.

He really is; 8 in 15 appearances, and you could argue he's still settling in.

If we can stay in this division, I've little doubt he'll be an important part of that.

I fear he'll be gone in January. Hopefully by then we'll have enough point on the board to be confident.

The rate he's going, I think he'd cost anyone interested a small fortune if they wanted him then; we paid over £2 million for him, so imagine we'd perhaps need upwards of £5 million (I am not joking) and don't for one second see anyone other than the most desperate of Premier League team even considering that, and doubt we'd sell to anyone in this division.

I think that we've got him until summer at least; can't think he imagined he'd be coming here to get promoted, and seems a level headed chap, so if we can stay in this league, and he can develop his reputation then may very well be a good fit for him for another 12-18 months.

Never understand how people get 'Alby' out of Aaron Wibraham?!

Because that is his nickname (allegedly) and one he has used all his career

hope this helps

Well done Agard, never stopped being a nuisance to their defenders. Exactly what we have been missing carrying Wilbs after 60 mins. Was gobsmacked SC drops Wilbs, but thank goodness he did - and great to have Wilbs to bring on as a sub, a win-win indeed.

SC said on RB that he would have "rested" him weeks since IF KA had been up to speed, so there ya go !

Just back.

Well played City, great result, winners in the dugout and all over the pitch.

Long overdue victory against a real bogey team and a truly horrible club.

Couldn't be happier with every City player tonight.

Ok, thanks, fair enough. Where did you get that nugget from, a nickname 'he has used all his career'?? Do people use their own nicknames?!

Of course they use their own nicknames if they like them and Alby obviously likes his, don't know whether you are trying to be pedantic or not.

People attack without all the full facts.. I like it how Cotts keeps info to himself because it is, in his expert opinion, not something he needs to tell the opposition and that regardless of the ridiculous slating he gets in the meantime. Bit Like John Terry it seems...

Just waiting for sky sports news stream to show the City goal and John Terry comes on and says he can take criticism all day long from the Carragher's and Rio's of this world because they are top quality players but he cannot and will not take it from lower level players such as Robbie Savage... the room laughed loudly to that one as Terry smarted a broad grin... gone up in my estimation with that remark alone!

Oh and we need to buy Baker, yes.

You don't need to play top level premier football to offer a valid critique of John Terry. Terry's response says more about himself than it does about Savage's credibility.

Other teams will notice Kod, whos to say he wont follow another similar player we found A Cole to Manu or the like :sad26:

If he does it's good for the club , it means we have a quality player and unless there is a ridiculously small ' buy out ' clause in his contract , we will have some serious funds to invest in other quality players.

Enjoy the players whilst they're here because turnover is quick these days, very few one club players in the modern game.

There is always a new hero emerging as an old one leaves.

We beat Wolves yesterday, during a period of maximum solar activity (hence the exceptional Northern Lights, seen as far south as Wales).

We beat Wolves 17 years ago, during the previous period of maximum sunspot activity.

Can this be coincidence? I think not.
