An away point is ok. This is the type of team we need to be getting 3 points against though. There aren't many of them and we won't always beat them but that's now 3 points from 3 games against teams we will be battling it out with to stay up. If what we've been told about how good our team is, that isn't acceptable.

What's all this bull$h1t about us being told how good we are? The comments I have read from Cotterill are that we are getting better. Have a look at our away record - it's not that shoddy. If we sort things out at the Gate (and we have won two out of the last three at home) we will be alright.

To call an away point unacceptable is unacceptable if you ask me.

Fans still divided between optimists and pessimists.

Which will turn out to be the more realistic?

i am still, sadly, in the pessimistic camp.  All will depend on new faces in January but on this season's recruitment situation, signings and loans, I am not holding my breath

You also failed to mention the realists who realise that we could be higher up the league but don't expect us to travel anywhere and smash teams out of sight in this league including ones who have only lost once at home this season despite being in the bottom three. Oh, and the people with an agenda who want Cotterill out so take the negatives whenever they can get them.

Decent point IMO. Funny how people just expected us to show up and take all 3 points, its the Championship ffs there really are no push overs..

BUT!  We have to take more of our chances, you don't get many in this League!

It is small steps. This did not sound like Cardiff in fairness, where we were clearly the better team.

Last international break, after drawing to MK we were bottom. This one, six points off the bottom and two out of the zone. Not great, no point saying it is, but better than it was. Going to be a long old season, but today was ok, no more, no less.

Just what Horace tweeted to the 20person.

Exactly. We won't stay up on today's result and won't be going down on the back of it either. No need to slash your wrists because you "only" got a point and clean sheet away from home.

Last six results;

2-0 win against Forest
2-1 loss to Brighton
0-0 draw at Cardiff
1-4 hammering by Fulham
1-0 victory against Wolves
0-0 draw with Bolton

2 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses - 8 points, 5 goals for, 6 goals against.

That Fulham result is looking like an outlier from our recent form, and considering survival should be our single aim this year, we do currently sit 2 points and a better goal difference from the drop zone, despite getting destroyed at home only one week back.

Couple of weeks to get prepared for the league leaders now, and we certainly seem to play better against teams higher up the division, which is a positive.

Most teams are higher up the league!

You are welcome.   Where did you get the Sainsbury's sausages from?

colleague brought them out from London. You can get M & S ones here to be fair and sometimes Waitrose... both represented here. Even Tesco have some products in store... Funny, their value range is a rip off but promoted as premium product!!

It does.

Can we blame it on Flint missing in action when Baker is sidelined? i.e. he can do it in League 1 but needs a better man alongside him to do it in the Champs.

Looks like Twentypence is struggling tonight with only the one local match, lot's of Premier interviews and np phone calls from City fans.  Where are you!

Do they have phone masts in Bolton?

Maybe if RB didn't ring the same people week after week more fans would call in to air their views

changing the subject Tom... scroll back up and see thread count of Aizoon, Major Ise and mine.. the count number is repeated on some, i.e. remains the same and on other counts up... how weird is that?

Still getting notificicatons even though its all switched off on options.

Perhaps a couple of glitches there ?

Really chuffed with the 4 point haul this week. I was thinking results may have been the other way round but whatever, I'll take 2 clean sheets after the blip against Fulham. Hope to get something out the Hull game and then 3 points from Rotherham to finish the month strong.
