Bs4Red
Was there any reason behind the club not choosing to announce LJ over the tannoy today prior to the game? The first manager in my time I can remember that didn't get one... Brilliant win though, buzzing

downendcity
Probably worried that any announcement would be drowned out by the booming.
Bar BS3
Just getting on with the game I should think. Not wanting to distract from the team.
shelts
I was surprised he wasn't announced but maybe he didn't want that . Can't remember if Corts was announced. Focus on the game maybe.

It was quite obvious to the club that he wasnt a first choice for many, so probably wanted to avoid a situation where there could be some booing. I don't think there was one manager who was the first choice for many, you will never please all the fans with a managerial appointment.

That's what I thought too, but it was a bit of a shame at the same time. Maybe not a massive 'Here's your new manager, let's get right behind him'type announcement but surely a 'welcome back to Ashton Gate' announcement returning players get would have been nice. i honestly expect Lee asked for it to be low key though. He has already described himself as Marmite and knows actions are needed to win some fans over.
TwoSheds
Yes i think it was strange not to announce the new coach, maybe I had missed it but no mention of the new man in charge. Are the board worried or did not want any booing before a big game. PS I would not boo, we have to get behind lee and the team if we are going to stay up.
