Welcome To The Jungle
They've give a yard, now we must take a mile. If we dare charge £30 for away fans next season, those in charge can p!$$ off.

That is interesting. Arsenal are subsidising their own supporters rather than the other 19 clubs not charging more than £30. It has the same effect for the travelling Arsenal support...but it's not quite the same as them only being charged £26.
Lrrr
With this really no championship club should charge more than £25 for away tickets, there simply cannot be a justification of charging the same to watch championship football as premiership football. Gillies Downs Leeds
What people are seeming to forget, is that the Prem teams as from next season, will be getting an astronomical amount of money from the new TV deal. They will be able to subsidise tickets and still make a massive profit. It is all about the big boys these days, little money will make it's way down through the leagues so for teams in Championship, League 1 and League 2 it would be very difficult to slash admission prices without running at a big loss. This new TV deal for the big boys will be just another nail into the coffin of the game of football that I once knew.

Problem is that clubs in lower divisions don't get huge TV money and marketing rights to offset cost so gate money is main income. If it was on the product then agreed the prices in league 2 should be the lowest but I bet there is not much between it comparatively speaking
swampy
The real problem is players' salaries. Forest Green are a case in point - a playing budget of £1m plus which equates to players at level 5 earning £50k pa in front of sub 2000 crowds. The sums don't add up and never will .. WhistleHappy
Don't make Arsenal 'the good guys' in all of this, maybe they are at last going to have a huge rethink on pricing (over and above the new official demands/requirements) .... BUT... That doesn't excuse the fact that people have been paying (non members) between £65.50 minimum up to £97 ... yes Ninety-Seven Quid! to attend cat A match's at the Emirates this season. Gotta blame the idiot 'fans' willing to pay these ridiculous prices and condemn the Club for daring to ask that much in the first place. Greed pure greed.
