Hmmm . . . A 38 will be crammed. What time is the train?

Temple Meads 11.00 - New Street - 12.26 / 12.49 - Burton 13.20 = £29.50

Burton 17.49 - Brum 18.24 / 18.42 - Temple Meads 20.05 = £22.90. Later trains are only £18.50.

I forgot the "split ticketing" option.

Temple Meads to Brum = £20.70. Brum - Burton = £6.50 = £27.20 total. Coming back the £22.90 through ticket is the cheapest option.

You can split the Temple Meads to Brum ticket to about £15 by splitting at Cheltenham

For such an early visit the demand will be massive so I hope that there is not a free for all and some sort of points system comes into play rewarding those that travel every other week.

I wouldn't have thought any non-season ticket holders would have a hope
