I think what frustrates me....and maybe one or two others....is how many silly mistakes we have made this season. Really really silly mistakes.

The two goals tonight were school boy stuff. As was the red card. Stupid tackle

Then look at the Rotherham goals.....

It's frustrating as it's not like teams are carving us open. We are gifting teams goals EVERY game

Isn't that what we were saying this time last season? Nothing seems to change much with city. Too many false dawns.

Wow talk about giving it to them on a plate for the 3Rd,  yes good finish but they just let him run into the box.

Sad thing is 2 nil up only this would happen to city in the last kick of the game.  No point blaming the penalty miss we sat back invited pressure.  Did we have another chance after the pen?

Was referring to the forum buddy

Why can't people have a meltdown given we have just lost a game in which we were 2-0 up?

Do you think it's acceptable to throw away a game like that?

Wish I could have the 'oh well' mentality of some people on here but unfortunately it gets to me a little too much!

I keep saying Flint is not the wonder player some think. Play Ekstrand and Moore

He's a donkey - flattered by being played in a back 3 with two men covering him under Cotterill.

Well, if someone could score a penalty we would then have been 3-1 up with half an hour to play against ten men and O'Neil wouldn't have been sent off..

O'Neil only got himself to blame for sending off ,NO need to put the tackle in.

Sounds like they earned it.  More possession, more shots, more corners.

They had more attacking players on the pitch 2nd half. Sounds like Johnson tried to shut up shop when it went 10 vs 10, which is madness considering we're possibly the worst team in Europe at defending a lead by sitting back.

He needed to put Wednesday on the back foot by introducing Paterson, or just should have kept Tomlin on.

We tactically shifted as though they still had 11 which was weird from Johnson.

Shocking defending by Flint and that was their centre half who left him for dead, this game shows we still have lots to learn at this level, our defensive displays have been shocking in the last two games but we are on a steep learning curve and are miles ahead of where we were last season, move on

City are still a work in progress. Great going forward, but prone to bad individual errors.

Its still very early in the season and I back us to tighten up in defence.

A painful lesson learned is the positive way to spin it.

A painful lesson learned?

Pretty sure we don't learn anything give that we make the same mistakes over and over again...

Yeah so so frustrating. But there are positives. Changes will be made. Let's not get on their back too much. We have a young squad and a player like Tomlin relies on confidence and fan belief, if we all start laying into him it'll be a huge waste of talent.

And we rely on our top signing to be able to score a penalty.

Let's get this strait everyone.  One player doesn't lose a game in this manner. Even two don't.

I agree but having made a bad mistake for the equaliser, 30 seconds left ROD kicks the ball from hands I believe directly into touch, in commentary it was said LJ was apoplectic over what he did.

Indeed.  I don't want to get into finger-pointing and I'm not having a go but I think and hope LJ will have learned something after tonight.  From what I've heard (admittedly I wasn't at the game so this may be nonsense) it seems we reacted to going down to 10 men against 10 men by acting like 10 men against 11 and trying to defend what we had for all it was worth.  Ultimately it didn't work and let them back into the game.  As someone said earlier in the thread, sitting back doesn't really work to our strengths.

Disappointing tonight Tomlin needs to sort his head out (remove it from his own arse) and calm down, Tammy should have taken pen (LJ should have been making sure this happened

Flint needs a stint on the bench piss poor mistake on Saturday and useless again tonight, with Ekstrand and Moore to come it we can secure up the back 4....

ROD needs a smack in the mouth utterly ridiculous letting that goal in the twonk...

LJ need to put a rocket up his players tonight and look at his own decisions which lost us the game tonight....

Have to say gutted about the result shows there is a lot of work to be done..
