Korey Smith has lost every 50/50 today,

Had one good game since coming back from injury, apart from that he's looked a shadow of himself. Think he's been rushed back, shouldn't be playing 90 minutes.

Again we are devoid of quality in the final third right now

I think we have in TA

Its the crap service that lets us down

And if true it might be a good idea , at the moment to spend our millions on players who can influence results rather than sit on bench and not trusted to contribute -

For everyone's sake play Lucic.

The real question is not why we have been so poor over recent weeks, relegation form, but why for a brief moment we looked promotion material

As I have said before, and been criticised for, this team, with literally only one or two exceptions, isn't promotion material let alone Premiership quality.  Average Championship players at best.  If we are to improve sooner rather than later then the dead, or at least dying, wood needs to be let go and quickly. Freeman, Little, Smith, Pack, Fielding etc are simply not going to take us to the next level in this league

Maybe he has to show that he derserves a chance - has he done that in the time he's been on the pitch or shown it in training ?

I was impressed with him against Hull, but as you say perhaps it's not happening in training. Makes me wonder how much we knew about him before we bought him. Yes one for the future but with Kodjia going we needed 'one for now' at the time.

Yes Tammy but who else? Wilbs is getting on and Engvall is untested. and more long term. While there is need to spend, I just hope the club do not revert to the old ways, panic and throw money at the situation

I know it's been said a few times this season about players diving, but bloody hell they spend a lot of time on the floor.

I hope LJ's recruitment is more on making a team rather than buying players that look like profitable  sell ons'

As it stands Villa go ahead of us. We're bottom half now.

We should try creating an atmosphere sometime... guess its not the fans fault when the club makes it sterile.

Barring the Atyeo guys its like a morgue

Different debate but sorry it's FANS that should create the atmosphere

Blaming the club is a cop out IMO

Nothing to stop anyone and everyone playing their part WHEREVER THEY SIT

Obviously not shown it on the pitch because he hasn't had any chance at all,as for on the training field nobody knows but surely you need a goal you don't put GON on

You could argue he scored against Reading. But yes, not the right sub for me today.

That's it then. Another defeat and only one win in six away from home.

Simply not good enough, Lee.

As I said a few weeks ago we need to be in a relatively safe position still by end of December before the 7th Cavalry ride to the rescue! So a difficult few weeks to negotiate yet

Never really got hold of the game today, we needed more possession and composure on the ball.

We need to be playing 5-3-2 / 3-5-2 i think this formation suits our squad.

Gotta be said that Hudders Mooy was class today, never put a foot wrong and looked like he had more time on the ball than anyone else.....premiership class!

We are a work in progress. Even our own manager says that. Works in progress don't have a complete team of top-quality players ready for the Premier League. They have a combination of excellent, good and average players.

We are improving - look at our league position compared to last year - and very few people expect us to be genuine promotion contenders this season.

Stop overreacting to every defeat and find some perspective on what we currently are. We will win games and we will lose games, because we are a mid table side.

Magnusson, Flint and Matthews did well of the starting xi, the rest were pretty awful. A special shout out to Tomlin who I kept forgetting was playing until he'd pop up and do something awful to remind me..

There must be something fundamentally wrong with the the pre match preparation as they just don't seem focused; controlling and passing a ball is pretty standard stuff yet our boys are making it look like rocket science at the moment, let alone the rest of it!

Huddersfield deserved that - much better team.

We looked poor in comparison.

I'd have 5 or 6 of their players over ours.

I agree with you.

We had some good chances, but overall they played much better, deserving to win.

In our team, I save Magnusson,Abraham and Reid; Smith, Fielding and Golbourne were probably the worse ones.

Our form isn't that surprising. We didn't play great to start the season. We won ugly which is fine but as soon as Tammy's goals dried up the confidence started dipping. We are a quality side with 1 or 2 mistakes in them per game that get punished every time. We need to be a quality side with 1 or 2 mistakes per month. I don't know how you cut the mistakes out. I guess it would be better players. Who would've thought our most ample position we are probably at our weakest with CM. Only Bobby Reid has played consistently well all year but gets dropped when someone else gets fit. GON is mostly quality I think has just played a bit too much at times. They'd be my starting pairing from now on if we insist on 442. Bobby has proven time and time again he'll track back and help the team out and has the energy to do so. The attacking he's always looking forward and getting into good positions.

How bad are we calling out for proper wide players as well. Tell me Van La Parra wouldn't be a gem for us. Their defense didn't look great either other than Smith. What a performance from him. Need Matthews to get to that level which he's capable of.

My point is that at the moment we are NOT a mid table side in terms of the form chart.  We need to act in January or the usual story in this league for City will be back on the agenda, i.e. being promoted with huge optimism only to fail within a very short time

When you have supported City as long as I have then it is not a question of short term perspective but long term!
