So you get your way and SL walks away. Please tell me what happens next?

I don't think SL should go BUT he seriously needs to stop trying to do the footballing side of things, he's way out of his depth. We need a director of football to come in, take over the footballing side of things, manager/coach appointing, the lot. Ashton is obviously good at getting in players but a real tactician in football will want to get players that suit his tactics, Ashton seems to have gone out and just grabbed a bunch of players and then left them to be sorted out by a clueless coach who hasn't got a clue who to pick or how to teach them to play.

Yes and guess what? you build a team around a player like that, you know with proper full backs and midfielders that are fit for purpose and not waste money on players of the future.

But surely thats more at MA and not LJ, after all it seems that MA signs these players... A couple of things though, Matthews was also excellent for us last season, so we re-signed him and Golbourne seemed solid enough.. O'Neil seemed like an ideal candidate for his experience... These players have not performed where they should be performing. Hindsight is wonderful thing

The irony is, he'll need to appoint a DOF who knows football, but he can't employ people who knows about football !!

i'm sorry I never buy that line and never will, I cannot believe that he would allow signings that he doesn't want it's LJ who will ultimately pay the price, if he didn't want any of those signings he should have made a stand, he ******* useless and has to go now and his useless coaches.

It's not even a slightly relevant question though. The board have invested significantly this season, backed LJ heavily in January and the manager has continually failed to shape the players brought in into a wining side. Whether he picks Tomlin or doesn't pick Tomlin is irrelevant. His job is to win games. He clearly does not have the ability to do it.

Out of interest here is a question - no logic, no agenda - from me. It is March and we are in the bottom three.

1) Do you accept we are in a relegation battle?

2) If you do, and you do not feel LJ is responsible for that, what is your analysis of where the blame does lie?

You don't have to buy that line... its happened before at this club that someone above the manager/HC is purchasing the players that they didn't want.

Some have picked up that LJ didn't even want Engvall but he's here
