Villa played saturday.

Everyone did?

Funny how the Wolves manager was claiming in his interviews the refs and others involved in the league are against them trying to keep it a race, yet they're not on tv and get 24 hours extra recovery.

To keep things in perspective, assuming we lose today, we’re two points off the automatic places and five clear in the play offs.

Given the number of games we have played recently, and the number of injuries we are contending with, I would say that’s not actually a bad outcome - even if it is partly due to Cardiff’s implosion and the inconsistency of other teams.

Don't forget the window

Villa deserve that. Other than a neat first ten minutes been all one way really. Albert ripping us a new one, Grealish pulling strings and we are running on empty. Still disappointed given our CBs that both their goals have effectively come from headers. Hopefully we can stay third!

LJ always said playing games didn't make much difference as you substitute for the training sessions.

He's wrong.

Hardly likely to say the 9 outfield players playing every minute are ******, is he?

Seriously, for Watford as many kids as poss and only about 3 on the bench. The rest are injured. Tough

Totally agree.

Completely agree. Some perspective needed even though it's a frustrating few days.

HT 2-0. We made better start in first 20 mins, has a couple of really promising situations that first Bryan and then Pato never made the most of. 1st Goal changed everything, since then Villa well on top and could easily have gone in 3-0 up.

Last couple of mins of half Flint was pushed up top and imagine that's what we will do second half. Bryan hardly getting in the game, might be worth putting him LB, take Mags off and try Leko/Eliasson as not much to lose now.

Grealish (who I can't stand) is being given way too much time on the ball, it was his pass then picked out Adomah for their first. We have to get someone tighter to him.

Well that wasnt very nice at all. Happy it's half time. Way too much hoofing up field and with no target man, ball is coming straight back down the field. How many chances did Villa have in that last 10mins? Magnússon and Joe Bryan: stay true to yourselves and the way you've been playing to get you to where you are.

As for Villa, they are on fire. We need a reaction early second half; if not, could be ugly.

How was Magnússon ever going to be good against Adomah. He is simply not good enough at this level.

Wright is marking Adomah. Magnússon is on the otherside up against Snodgrass.

All in all we've been poor after the first five minutes. Lots of tired legs. I don't see Villa easing off on us and I don't see much by way of options to improve us from the bench.

We are looking pretty poor, midfield is missing so playing long balls upto... well Bobby. Adomah is just stood on the side line unmarked receiving easy balls and then putting in some good crosses. When we do have possession we pass straight to a Villa player even when under no pressure. We are just being passed around with little effort, to be honest Villa are making this look very easy.

Hopefully a better 2nd half, but you look at our bench and just wonder what we can do at the moment to change up. Anyway, lets hope we come out fighting, we know we can pull games back, just hope this is one of them.

Maggie isn't up against Adomah it's Wright and Flinty who are being roasted .

Got away with a lot over the past couple of months really, but Albert today really making it look like we have CBs rather than full backs playing.

Can someone who’s watching confirm if it’s Wright v Adomah or Mags.  Radio says it’s Wright, yet posters on here saying Mags v Adomah is getting murdered. Confused

Wright up against Albert. Mags up against Snodgrass. Mags has made several mistakes but did get in goal saving challenge on Snodgrass to prevent 3-0.

Mags is LB and Adomah is attacking on our right (against Wright)

Thanks, and to @Kid in the Riot and @DCT10 fir confirming....

....so posters blaming Mags for Adomah’s contribution aren’t watching the game or listening on the radio..but easy to make Mags the scapegoat..

Mags hasn’t been good , misplaced a lot of passes that haven’t made sense at all, he’s the worst out of a bad bunch currently, hoping we turn it around at half time but I think the lads are knackered

Was under the impression Holden wasn't a CM? Totally forgot about Woodrow, just wanted to get Saint Arnold in the side somewhere.

The word naive was invented for this performance so far.

Until their first goal we were marginally the better side, you could see the nervousness in them and the whinged and whined about every decision and then the midfield goes totally awol nobody goes with the runners and we are 1 down.

Whatever Pack thought he was doing for the 2nd goal is totally beyond me, if he thinks that being within 3 yards is closing his man down and trying to prevent the cross then something is seriously wrong with our coaching.

Now we are being mullered in midfield, we could not have played into their hands anymore if we tried.

Baker naive for his ridiculous booking, Patterson naive for twice being dispossessed dribbling across his own back 4, both full backs are being pulled to pieces, Bryan suddenly woke up with 10 minutes to go after Flint had been pushed upfield.

We play some pretty tippy tappy triangles but lack creativity.

Proof if it was needed that some just have an agenda against certain players and won't let little things like facts get in the way of slagging them off.

So far I wouldn't be too harsh on them. Unlike the wolves game, I'm struggling to think of things Johnson could have done differently. We look a tired team.

He could have been more creative with his lineups imo. No reason for Bobby Reid to start every match in this run. Taylor and Woodrow championship standard even if not top 6 level. Then could use Reid off bench for Korey or Pack. Eliasson has not started since Sheff U. Kelly and Vyner not used much. I know we have been winning most games but has it been at the expense of the second half of the season?

not for those who suffer from motion sickness!

The guy is videoing a stream off his laptop in some 1970's decor living room......all a bit strange.

To make things worse he is wobbling the camera around like he is jacking one out as he watches the match........I wish he would hurry up and then stand perfectly motionless.

Think he probably is more of an attacking midfielder but think he can play both wings and midfield. How effective his defensive abilities would be compared to Andrews I do not know but Holden came in with a decent reputation so possibly closer to the first team?

Think this is it really. We could be using these players but LJ obviously feels that he either can't trust them or that a tired BR is better than a fresh Woodrow.
