It’s a mixed bag, but not quite horrible in my book. But certainly disappointing compared to pre-Christmas.

And to think we are outside the play offs on goal difference; our form drop has coincided with that of Sheffield and Leeds United who were vying with us at the turn of the year, more recently that of Derby and mediocre form of Preston. Of course we should not forget we were at the top end of the play offs and now at the bottom.

More bold than losing the plot; if as a manager you have faith in your players you will try such a strategy to unlock a defence. It has been done before and will be done again and not only by City. Just because it did not work does not mean its losing the plot; that is being disingenuous at best.

The use of Three of such centre forwards at same time has historically been used when coaches run out of ideas and notoriously hardly ever produces  , at any level of football

We are talking about 3 players in general in a forward position, or you were, and I responded to it by saying its not uncommon and LJ had not lost the plot. Now you are manipulating the discusion to specific types of player which is an entirely different discussion. And you are mostly correct but sadly to some posters LJ is beyond criticism and today and several other performance over our mainly abject 3 month poor run, he has made some astonishingly poor decisions.

Not least our January window, it is a window that should have seen us signing players to help maintain our position and ended up as signing 2 poor players at this level and another who isn't getting a look in and then there Eliasson, I for one would love to know whatever is going on there, he must be watching the performances of Paterson and Kent and thinking WTF am I doing here.

I assume you were not there. We still have good players and we have improved. Tiday was abject like Brentfird away early this season. Very lucky. Outfought and outplayed

The ref and both assistants didn't have a clue, spent most of the game looking at each other then making a decision based upon the loudness of the nearest stand!  Shite officiating.

Indeed, anyone who posts regularly and has strong opinions will inevitably fall out with other posters now and again, but really there should be no long held grievances.

Some people need to give their heads a wobble! How people can be calling for LJs head after the season we’ve had. If anyone would of been anything short of delighted with a top half finish after last season, they are lying! 

Luckily the powers that be are more clued up than the minority on here. 

There are posters who are desperate for LJ to fail and have been since he was appointed. They'll jump on anything slightly negative.

This is absolutely true although I'm not aware of anyone calling for LJ's head as such .

A note on the ramifications of yesterday’s match after last night’s matches and today’s single Championship game; 

With both Sunderland and now Birmingham winning since we snatched victory from Barnsley’s grasp in the last minute yesterday, they’ve dropped down into the bottom three.

And despite wanting to take the ‘high road’; after their support’s near total silence when not in front yesterday (and even then they were hardly ferocious) other than goading LJ just prior to our second equaliser, I’m a little smug that results have ended up with us level on points with 5th place, and the Tykes two points from safety.

Thats just terrible. I always step over spiders and beetles, because its bad luck, and of course ants as they are so fast they could run, catch me up, and sneak inside my shoe in a hunting pack. Most unpleasant. Jumping on LJ though, although he is indisputably smallish, is bang out of order.

Thoroughly pleasing weekend so far. Do we dislike Hull so much we want them to lose this evening?

So long as we take three points from them when they visit the Gate, I’m happy for them to get results against other teams in the top six.
