In summary:

a) Southampton´s hotel reservation in Swansea was cancelled at the last minute, so they had to stay near Cardiff.

b) Southampton were promised a police escort from Cardiff to Swansea. It never appeared.

c) Upon arrival to the Liberty, the Southampton bus couldnt access the entrance and was told to wait 25 minutes with the players on board until the Swansea bus had finished unloading..

Cringey.

Its a 45 minute drive from Cardiff to Swansea, hardly a terrible thing, plan ahead and the warm up process doesn't change.

Why do you need a police escort from Cardiff to Swansea? Waste of police resources surely?

Yeah C exactly a great thing.

45 minute shoot out then!! Winner stays up. In terms of last day...Swans home to Stoke. No idea how that will go...some will be playing for a Premier League contract with other clubs, others were never good enough anyway. Saints v Man City. City may be on the beach...players anxious to avoid injury pre world cup.

I wouldnt like to predict the outcome of either tbh

I wonder if the Stoke players would happily lose at Swansea if it meant that Hughes took Southampton down? Looking at their forum the Stoke fans certainly would!

I think their players would probably bugger up that plan too. Tense game

Swansea really don't help themselves with the 3 CB's, they get to this point then think 'oh shit we need to attack' and have to rip up the system for 15 minutes or so to try and rescue a point.

Think there's a stat along the lines of they haven't won while both Ayew brothers have started or something along those lines.

Even if Saints win it’s hard to see Huddersfield getting any points from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Swansea win at home to relegated Stoke would send Huddersfield down if they lose both.

However what an incentive for Huddersfield tomorrow knowing a point keeps them up if this stays like this

Could be better from our point of view

Think Soton would be stronger next season than Swansea

Agree Bob. I have an irrational disliking for the Saints so would really like to see them go down  but it would be best they stay up as opposed to a Huddersfield or Swansea.

Hudds have a chance of getting that point v Arsenal IMO.

No away win for Arsenal in 2018.

Saints could get a hiding last day. All depends on what Man City turn up.

Huddersfield too if they lose tomorrow and Saturday. Can’t remember who they play tomorrow but a top 6 side I am sure then Wenger’s last match on the weekend.

Decent few days for Cardiff fans.

*****.

Stoke, relegated - wear stripes: WBA, relegated - wear stripes. Huddersfield, wear stripes.......lose to Chelsea & Arsenal, relegated if Swansea beat Stoke last day..........

Southampton's celebrations reminiscent of a certain game at Wycombe a few years ago.

And we know how that ended....

Just thinking that ....

That , And , despite being a half decent forward , Charlie Austin is an arrogant c**k

Not a chance Saints are going down now. 9 goal swing which is effectively 10 as Saints scored more.

Even if they get tonked by Man C on the last day Swansea won’t score enough to push the swing back the other way even if they do win.

Its Huddersfield or Swansea now.

Hotel stuff more cynical - were told they can’t stay there because of a bug running people staying there but press reporters managed to book rooms fine without any issues/warning/cancellation

They'll give it to Darren Moore. Although I'm not sure he'd be the right man long term.

They should do, however may want someone more experienced to try for an instant return, rules out LJ too.

He doesn’t want it from what he’s said

I don’t think Mr Warnock will be able to repeat his leadership with Baadiff in the Prem next season, maybe he’ll fancy trying to revive Swansea’s fortunes, that would be very funny to see.
