After the debacle of the 2nd half of last season, fans will turn on Johnson very quickly, he said 3 transfer windows, he has had 4 I think, bought and sold dozens of players. Is it 4 wins in 24? I don't know any club who tolerate that. I'm pretty patient, more so than most but getting fed up already.

FWIW he’s had five

0-2 HT. 72% possession but just one speculative effort on target from 25 yards from Brownhill.

Watkins playing as centre forward is not working at all.

Stupid decision not to start Eliasson if he is fit, as badly need someone to create something and Pato is just strolling around again.

For Boro it's almost been like a training match.

Boos at halftime.

We sold the spine of the team, what do we honestly expect?

We are poor and you can sense the drop in energy levels.

It’s flatter than a pancake here today. It’s sad really.

Let’s be honest here

That performance is one of a side staring straight down the barrels of a relegation scrap

Very frustrating again.

Boro have done nothing and scored 2 goals from two chances.

First one took a lucky bounce and on another day, with a different ref, could have been a foul by the very physical Assom on Webster.

Second one could have been a foul on Hunt by the, again, very physical Assom.

Or maybe we are just powder-puff?

Either way too easy, much too easy for Boro

And we made a considerable profit on transfers. People tend to forget that a, if not the, key part of the strategy is to improve the club's financial position. SL seems to have put his foot down on that this summer.

Whoever the head coach is they will have to live with that constraint.

O dear.

Boro have not really had to do too much, and look like they have hardly had to move through the gears very much.

Yes, it is a makeshift defence, but that to one side, we are so considered going forward it all ends up pointless. Equally, so many games in this league are so tight that tactics, players, nothing matters unless you can defend. It really is as simple as that. For the third league game in a row we have given poor goals away, against a side that will make it very difficult.

No high press, no real idea what to do. Don’t want to read to much in to one half of course, but on its own it is relegation form.

You can see it a mile off, and the worst thing is that Boro haven’t exactly come at us all guns blazing either?!

Kelly and Hunt haven’t played badly, have been let down entirely by Webster and Pisano

Disagree slightly. Pisano out of position, not his fault. Kelly, entirely blameless, the other two........rubbish, garbage, call them what you like, we spent £3m on a centre half who is about half the player Lloyd Kelly is.

First half in a nutshell.......IMO very akin to last week v Bolton, in that City have had lots of possession and are playing neat passing stuff in their half but rarely create or threaten anything in the final third. Boro (who haven’t been threatened) have only had a couple of chances (the first gifted them due to sloppy defending) and have been clinical on both occasions (also reminiscent of last week’s game when Bolton scored with practically the first opening they had). All City players look OK, despite not creating any real threat, with our main chances coming from the right but again AW is isolated and we have started to play very hopeful, straight balls to him which are easy to defend.

Boro are very comfortable and failing a miracle are leaving AG with three points.

Firstly let me say we have the best player on the pitch in Marlon Pack, he is just terrific and I suspect Pulis would love to sign him.

Secondly we really do play some very pretty football but time and again the same thing happens we totally run out of ideas/creativity in and around the opponents penalty area, all we have to show for our pretty football is 2 half chances both way off target and bog standard BCFC free kick also way off target. Our final pass and crossing is piss poor again.

Now onto our defending, both goals had their roots in an unnecessary breakdown in our pretty football in the opponents half and then confounded by piss weak defending, Hunt looks great going forward but a liability defensively, he had a weak hand in both of their goals and nearly gave another way with a sloppy pass.

In a word we look brittle.

Watkins and of course Paterson struggling to get into the game.

And note to commentator don't call us ******* Bristol again, we are Bristol City or City FFS.

How many players gas he bought, I read previously it was 37 ? But I’m not sure what the number is now or if that’s true,

bob do you know ?

37? Madness. I like Johnson, I appreciate he loves the club, no bad blood but think this run has gone on too long. I've never called for him to go but think he needs to. It's not been 4 games but 24.

A Downing in his 30s turned Pisano like he was flipping a coin for the second goal, he would not have gone past Dasilva like that.

Sadly not at the game today, but my football Svengali has just provided the following half time analysis

“Looking like a side who have sold their best players and replaced them with shit “

Your Svengali isn’t far wrong, although Hunt and Weimann look ok in fairness.

Dont look good, we need a goal in the first 20 min in second half. Eliasson or someone else in. We have to change this, at least try. COYR!!!

Strange thing is when LJ took over from Cotts, one of things I liked about him was that he was not afraid to make subs to try and change things, but throughout the 2nd half of last season and again this, he is just leaving it far too late. Again no changes at HT today.

Agreed that thto truth is probably somewhere in the middle. It was more the bitter resignation of a city fan that made me smile

He's had 2 shocking runs while here and a third going. He'd have been sacked after the first at most clubs

Which wouldn’t necessarily have been the correct decision. In fact, had he been sacked the season before last and the new man had come in and guided us to the league cup semis and an 11th place finish,  everyone who have said it was the right decision to get rid of him. The club’s faith has been rewarded with three seasons of league position improvement under Johnson. An inconvenient truth for some.

Not to say he’d survive another bad run if this continues - I think he’d be gone, and I would be fine with that. The feast and famine can’t continue forever.

5 windows and 50 signings, the excuse of inheriting a team has gone

Could be 100 it wouldn't make any difference. Nobody any good playing in England and therefore knowing what's what, especially defenders,is going to sign for us until we have a proven manager who can attract quality players. What's stopping us getting a proven manager people?

At the moment I am sick to the core at the thought of having to go through this with my Club until I die!!
