CotswoldRed Posted July 25, 2019 Share Posted July 25, 2019 Not been up to the new bar. Is it somewhere worth visiting with a large wheelchair, given the numbers of fans, lifts etc? There’s a lift up to the SC&T bar and easily accessible by wheelchair. It can get busy particularly pre match. It’s difficult to find a seat at times and members sometimes stand in small groups chatting but it’s not so packed that you can hardly move. The easiest way is to try it and judge for yourself. Although there is lift access, it gets quite cramped pre-match, which would make it difficult a difficult space to navigate a wheelchair. There’s also the issue of getting through the crowds in the sports bar to get access to the SC&T area (unless wheelchair users are allowed access from the concourse?) Joe and I have used it a few times, but we are early birds, usually get there 60-90 minutes before a game, so can get through Sports Bar, in lift, and get a seat in Sports Bar no probs. You can go in the concourse and then get into the bar via the back doors of the sports bar, to save fighting through the crowd, and then go back out that way to get to your seats. If you've never been in and fancy taking a look at the bar, then please be our guests. Pics below... The bar is accessed via the main Sports Bar.
