CTID 7
Does he deserve a run out for the first team?? Matthews
Guest cidered
no because hes still to unfit but if he keeps playing like that then he should get a look in
megansdad
Probably merits a place on the bench but wouldn't expect a hat-trick against anyones' reserves to put him ahead of Peacock, Miller or Roberts just yet.
fRed
Well, it was 2 tap-ins and a penalty, apart from that he didn't look that special. But at least he was in the right place at the right time, bench warming will be his best bet :sport19:

cheshire_red
A fit Matthews would thrive on the service being provided at the present, fit being the key word.

Port Said Red
<br /> Goalscorers eh, who needs 'em !!!!! I remember Garland having a tap in set up for him once by Galley. When the cheers died down someone near us said "All he had to do was tap it in" and another replied "and there's millions can't do that!" Matthews is a goalscorer they go in when he's around, he doesn't care how. It's just a shame he can't shake his back problem

SimplyRed
I am no fan of Matthews. I consider him to be the most over-rated player in the entire squad. Injury prone, no pace and little talent - a waste of money.
