Massive congratulations to City's own Abi Harrison tonight. Made her first international start for Scotland Women tonight in a World Cup qualifier v Ukraine and scored a 90+3 equaliser to rescue a point for the Scots.

Girls on fire right now, I make that eight consecutive games she's scored in for club & country which is incredible at any level.

Great work Abi, such a proud evening for her family and her.

Draw for Women's FA Cup Third Round takes place at 2:00pm today. This year is different, not only because City are in the Championship, but Championship teams now enter in the third round (compared to WSL teams who enter in the fourth).

Fixtures due to take place 11/12th December. Hoping for a home draw!

Fran Bentley appeared as a sub GK in the second half in the Lionesses' U23 game against Estonia. 11-0 result, which seems small compared to the 20-0 win the senior squad just had against Latvia!

Former City striker Ebony Salmon also appeared as a sub, and former City academy player Katie Robinson scored.

A comfortable win for CIty - don't think the visitors were keen to return here after the league game.  Some interesting changes in the starting line-up but the match took place almost entirely in the Lewes half. Shame to see their player being taken off the field on the buggy, sounded a nasty one.

When is the draw for the next round?

Shame it's happening after Sound of the City tonight. Lauren Smith is on tonight's show, so I assume she'll talk to Geoff about yesterday's game & the other two this week...

She answered my questions! Said she loved the songs; enjoying the "We want five" & "we want six" chants, but said that she wasn't able to meet the Lansdowns due to the injury that happened to Kallie Balfour for Lewes at the end of the game

Two teams in Southampton

There's Southampton Women's - the original team that won the first Women's FA Cup, and then Southampton FC - which is affiliated with the Premier League club.

However I assume fans from either team will say there's One Team in Southampton, or at least have their own OTIS forum...

City go top of their group, with Lewes beating Reading on penalties in the other group game.

Academy goalkeeper Erin Foley made her first-team debut as Fran Bentley got subbed after 8 mins due to a collision, but as far as I'm aware is ok.

Because of the result, City top the group & qualify for the quarter finals!

If you haven't seen them yet, the highlights from last night's game are now available!

Interesting the Women decide to effectively lockdown now, yet the Men don't, despite them playing more games. Perhaps it is something to do with the impact of lost income?

The statement implies there are covid cases in the women's squad. Limited interaction with the men plus next fixture is not until January 9th. Easy decision.

Think it's the Conti Cup draw tonight at 5.30pm. City in the hat with Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Leicester/Manchester City, West Ham and Manchester United.

Ties to be played on Wed 19th or Thur 20th January.

We've been drawn away to either Charlton, Leicester or Man City.

A lot of media graphics advise it's either Leicester or Man City, but apparently Charlton are still in the running.

Trust us to get drawn against the only ball which has more than one team...

This is sad news, thoughts go out to all the off field staff and players at this development. Never a good time to lose your job of course but at Christmas, and with hopes of a better New Year ahead, it's particularly harsh.

I went to their game last Saturday v Watford (I covered Villa u18 then was meant to be going to Villa v Burnley before it was P-P so made a late switch) and there was literally not a peep about any financial issues. Young lad who is the media manager there is devastated, it's his first gig since leaving Uni. Players were gradually adapting to Championship football life and picking up a result or two but this is awful news for the players. I see a couple of other teams have offered their facilities for the players to train in the meantime but a statement issued earlier suggests they'll be going into voluntary liquidation on 4th January.

Hoping the team can indeed be saved. City have already posted an article about ticket credit for this Sunday's (still cancelled) game. Not sure how a season card holder like me can using ticketing credit...unless we advance further in the cup and get a home game!

Satara Murray has said on her Twitter that she has just started watching Ted Lasso.

I've seen the show myself, and the coaching style is very different from Lauren Smith's!

I was a bit late to watching this, thought it was great.  I didn’t watch it when it first came out because I thought it will be shit from a football point of view and I’ll just be critical of that.

But as Mrs F said she’d watch it too, I gave it a go…and we both really enjoyed it.
