My women’s season ticket is not showing anything in the next valid match section.  Has anyone else noticed this on their season ticket?

It will update in the week prior to the game. Nothing to worry about. Ticket for mens matches do this.

That’s what happened to mine as well.  I’ve asked supporter services what is happening but no reply so far.

Just like it was discussed for the mens tickets, the next game will NOT usually update until 3 days prior to a fixture

BUT, worth mentioning that all three clubs that play at AG8 are using the same systems, so if there is another game at the ground less than 3 days prior your ticket will NOT show up until that game is complete

No need to contact the club, have a read through the mens season ticket threads, it was already covered there

Ok but just rather strange that the Leicester game was showing in the app then it disappeared.  I also have a men’s ticket and the next men’s match is permanently displayed. I suppose that we are all still getting used to the system and will settle down eventually!

I know it is easy for me to say, but "we" have to trust the system, it will work OK on the day, but like you say it's all about us all getting used to the odd way that it works

Might that be Wednesday 13th December?

If all the season card holders turn up at the RHPC for the Conti games there will be no seats left and loads standing around the sides of the pitch. Could be a good atmosphere if so.

Looking forwards to a good football weekend now.

Yes, that's correct. Changed my original post to 13th.

From what I've spoken about with my contact at the club while representing the SC&T, the club apparently have plans in place for the number of season ticket holders that are now present

My daughter has already asked about going to Arsenal, I reckon there might be enough interest in that one, or I hope so

Think you can watch our game (or any WSL game) live via FA Player, free to register.

As long as it hasn't been selected or TV coverage by Sky or BBC, then yes. But if you can make it down to Ashton Gate, that'd be better!

For the league game, I hope so. For the Conti Cup group game which would be midweek, probably less likely

It's a shame our game is being played at Boreham Wood

Notice they're playing five games at The Emirates and six at Boreham Wood

Yes. I heard it too, but I'm also watching on the faplayer! Massive deflection. Against the run of play.

ed: 1-0 to City in case it isn't clear.

Well that was a chastening experience. Against arguably the closest rivals to avoid relegation our girls were very much 2nd best.

Annoyingly, Aimee Palmer - who we decided not to retain - played better than any of the City midfield. Strong in the tackle, crisp in her passing, composed and positionally good.

We have to find a massive improvement, or this season could become an embarrassment.

Going to be a tough season I think.  Some nice play, especially in the first half but shaky at the back to say the least.

Just got to get points where they can, survival the aim.  The six-pointers will be pivotal you suspect.

Watched the second half, Leicester miles better (physically and technically).  Our lot will need to learn quickly

To be fair, although Leicester started very well, we had a very good spell for 20 minutes in the first half, particularly after the goal.

Unfortunately they were by far the better side in the second half though.

Putting Ella Powell in the conversation... she was great today.

New season, new level, new players, new hope but some old questions. How will the team gel, with many new faces and perhaps some new ideas?

Firstly, great to see so many fans in the ground, helped by Shahan the flag monitor. Have to say the few turnstiles open at first did cause a bit of a lengthy queue (a familiar scene at Ashton Gate). Sad to note that Abi Harrison was not even in kit today - I really hope it's not an 'Alex Scott' kind of injury.

The opening minutes of the game proved encouraging, with the girls getting a foot on the ball and making some progress going for goal. However, the visitors grew back and for much of the game were better at the fifty-fifties and we lost some momentum. They also appeared quicker around the pitch and had a better sense of position.

With a relatively new midfield including Connolly and Rogers it was no real surprise that City's rhythm often looked a little ponderous. It was here that Leicester were able to keep us at bay at times. Furness was the main thrust but Ffion Morgan seemed to be set more as a wing back with cover responsibilities and was often behind play. After about half an hour, both Morgan and Powell swapped sides for a time but resumed after substitutions. Up front the new pairing of Thestrup and Jones were stifled and were kept largely out of range.

Defensively, we had a solid set-up but it was cracked by the visitors who scored twice quickly after the break. Both were avoidable and defenders were caught out by livelier  opponents. For the first game - and it's just the first of a long season - we looked a little short of pace and thinking at this level. I'm sure the coaches will be going through lots of points and will have plenty to work on this week. However, the general consensus appears to make this a game that will decide the lower end of the table. There will be others and we need to make sure we have a say in the outcomes.

What's the story with Palmer? Very strange that she would move to our direct relegation rivals

Most reports quote that she returns to Willie Kirk after coaching her early career here. She was certainly our best midfielder in recent seasons, so it was a disappointment to see her leave. Although she had a steady game today (mainly at the back of the midfield) her rocket to equalise was a definite blow.

Tbh Leicester miles better than us ..actually i dont blame the players but the manager needs to take a long hard look at herself..no plan A or B, no tactics, girls did not seen to know how to set up, Leicester played with two very wide players and no tactics to stop that..Smith is out of her depth at this level of management

That would most likely reveal itself over time, all things being equal. Which of course they aren't. From the interested bystander POV (I follow the womans team, but little knowledge of the WSL) I doubt City have budgeted enough to stay up.

I expect @shahanshahan will have some real insight and perspective on this.

How come the Leicester scorer of their second goal was able to push over the marking City defender before heading into the net?

I think you meant the third goal

Didn't look a foul to me, our defender was already in a poor position and was off balance - needs to be much stronger

She left at the end of last season. Her contract was up, even though she had a clause that an extension could be triggered if WSL promotion was secured (Abi Harrison had the same clause in her contract, but signed a new one instead). Didn't sign for Leicester until August

She was club captain, but didn't wear the armband for the last few games. Didn't even get to lift the trophy with back-up captain Bentley. Was left out of the squad for the last game against Birmingham despite no injury concerns.

Think there may have been something behind the scenes, but I'm not involved on that side of things & don't want to speculate on rumour

Because it's at the RHPC, season tickets can't be used. Therefore, ST holders have to "claim" their free ticket to print themselves. Claims can be made from today & up until 2pm this Friday.

ST holders will be sent links via email.
Match tickets as per normal now on sale.

Parking available at QEH for free, first come first served. No info yet on a matchday bus service

Coach tickets for Spurs away on Sunday is now on sale. The club have advised supporters to book until 2pm on Thursday so that it will definitely run 🤷‍♂️

(Refunds will be issued in case it doesn't)

Supporters should not yet book match tickets yet until the coach is confirmed. Spurs are apparently handling away tickets for all their women's fixtures, and block A seems the best option...
